Deadaimz
Is the grip considered cross handed? I always thought cross handed was left hand low or right for lefties. I'd almost consider it backwards lead hand.
hartman29
I can only get my arms in that “A” position he showed at the top without a club in my hands in another video he made. Edited March 10, 2024 by hartman29
Deadaimz
I've been so busy with work I've yet to fiddle with this crazy grip/swing with live balls. I did grip a broom with this method and it was the most uncomfortable thing ever. I couldn't imagine swinging this way @ 115mph plus. KD1
Got through about the first 90 seconds of the video before my slime ball bull s*** alarm bells started going off... Skimming through the thread I'm guessing my bull s*** radar is still good.
RobertBaron
This has to be a put on. No way anyone can a swing a club like this. Let alone hit it 350 yards.

This is top-shelf trolling. It has to be. The 160 yard slice to immediate 340 yard draw in 1 swing would have taken him 15 takes to do without laughing. 1 Quote Titleist 909D3 w/ Diamana Whiteboard 73x Titleist 906F2 w/ Diamana Bluebored 83x Mizuno MP-4 3-PW w/ KBS C-Taper x-flex Scratch Tour Department 52* Cleveland Reg. 588 56* & 60* Scotty Cameron Studio Style Newport

hammersia
Ten years ago I never would have dreamt I could crunch pure irons and smash beautiful baby draw drivers with this grip. Ten years later, after quarter of a million balls, four wrist and two shoulder surgeries, I still can't.
Nels55
I knew that I had seen and tried this grip sometime in the past. Scotty Robertson discovered his unique swing in 1990: https://scottysgolfgrip.com/about/
RobertBaron
Finally got the chance to try this at the range and yea either this grip is a complete put on or the Robertson’s are complete freaks of nature with some unique genetic anatomy that makes this grip possible. I couldn’t get the grip above my waist without a ton of pain and tension in my left arm/ wrist let alone make a full swing. I just don’t see anatomically how this grip is even possible. no way anyone is getting 120mph+ swing speed with this thing. I’d love to see an objective third party play with Scotty and put him on a track man. Otherwise I have to lean toward elaborate troll. To put it another way, if anyone still “follows” rbimguy who is a complete loon, at least his ideas are at least somewhat sensible though not the game changing paradigm he believes them to be. Scotty is like the opposite. He seems sane but his ideas are nuts. Go figure. Edited March 22, 2024 by RobertBaron

Surely that’s a felony. That the thing that legit bugs me about this stuff. Because like....if he wants to be taken seriously then you can't say this kind of outlandish s*** without at least acknowledging how outlandish it is. At least do us the courtesy of saying "now I *know* this sounds like snakeoil gimmickry, but give me a chance to explain" or *something* like that. If you're going to con me at least pretend like you respect my intelligence. 😆 Because if he believes in what he is hocking then he's shooting himself in the foot by taking the hyperbolic 90's infomercial approach to making wild claims with just "just trust me bro" supporting it. And then you're left with the more likely cynical reality is that he's simply running a con where the ridiculous claims are not designed to be believable, but designed to filter out those willing to believe them or not. Basically the Nigerian Prince email scam formula; it's not supposed to convince large numbers of people, just to filter out who is naive or gullible enough to. And the 10,000 lessons things.....please. A self admitted hack who clearly had little to no golfing ability is somehow now qualified to teach because he adopted a weird grip and hits the ball better now? It feels like the story about how bad he used to be is designed to appeal to the person he's attempting to "con", like he's trying to be his own customer testimonial, but it's at odds with the idea that he'd be a qualified teacher. Unless of course he is exclusively attempting to teach people to swing just like him, and that opens up a completely different can of worms. 1 Quote Titleist TSR2 9* Accra RPG Tour Gold 462 M5+ // Titleist TSi3 9* Tensei AV White 65TX 2.0 Taylormade Qi10 15* Ventus Blue 7TX // Taylormade Stealth+ 16* Ventus Black 8XTaylormade Qi10 19* Ventus Black 8X // Srixon ZX Utility MKII 19* Nippon GOST Prototype Hybrid 10 STCallaway X-Forged Single♦️ 22* Nippon GOST Tour X // Bridgestone J15 CB 4i Raw Nippon GOST Tour X Bridgestone J15 CB 5i-6i 26*- 30* Brunswick Precision Rifle FCM 6.8-6.9Bridgestone J40 CB 7i-PW 34*- 46* Brunswick Precision Rifle FCM 7.0Vokey SM9 50* Raw F-Grind Brunswick Precision Rifle FCM 7.0Taylormade Milled Grind Raw 54* Brunswick Precision Rifle FCM 7.0Vokey SM6 59* Oil Can Low Bounce K-Grind Brunswick Precision Rifle FCM 7.0Scotty Cameron Newport Tour Red Dot // Taylormade Spider X Navy Slant
RobertBaron
Looks like he’s even been running this con since the 90s. Which might make one wonder how such an ineffective technique could last that long. But then you realize Jack Hamm is still pumping out content. Deadaimz
I thought I'd try this at the range but couldn't bring myself to do so. It is way too painful just trying a shadow swing.l that I could only imagine making contact would be infinitely more painful.
