Bethpage booking

I know around NYC and long island, it is best public course to play for reasonable green fee. 2 weeks ago, I was able to book a tee time when 4 ppl including me was sitting in front of the computer and clicking the date at exactly 7PM. I was able to get a tee time at 11 something however 3 other ppl did not even see any slots when they clicked on the date. 

On last Saturday, I tried to do the same but I was able to see the tee times but when clicked it was gone, literally every single tee time before 3. 

 

I have heard some people using bot or paying someone who has the bot to do the booking for them. But, if everything is gone in couple seconds, I have to assume everyone is using it which is not fair. I did hear in LA, issue became public and not sure if they are actually doing anything but, I really think this is ridiculus.

 

Any fellow golfers in long island have any solution?

It checks for cancellations too?? Wth.  I used to get some decent times by 

just checking a few days before I wanted to play.  Guess ill be joining.

The night before is the best time to look for the cancellation.

 

Yes, it's all bots and Bethpage isn't doing anything.

on weekdays if you can play, there are usually some 4some available for later that day

Jeez.  The bots and third party sites are insane.  I used to be able to get a cancellation with no problem..by checking like a manic all week.  But now these third party webpages scoop them up instantly.  I then tried booking at the 7pm release…no chance.

Yeah - you have like half a second to get a time. If your computer/phone glitches at all, you're done.

I may have a spot open for my 2:30 pm tee time on Black for tomorrow 5/21 if anyone is interested.

Can a resident book a tee time for 4 peoples that are outside of the us? We going to play deepdale on friday and would like to play 36 hole at bethpage black/red on saturday if its possible but everytime I checked on the website theres no teetime on the back course

@boulAAYYY tee times are gone within 5 seconds once they are released 7 days before. Non residents can only book 5 days in advance so you’re going to have to get lucky on a cancellation or do the Bethpage car line. You sleep in your car overnight. Depending on how early you want to play, I suggest getting here around 2pm the day before if you want to be the first or second group out. You’ll probably be in the first 5 spots.

 

Residents cannot book for other people. They check ID’s and the window and at the starter to make sure the reservation holder is the player. There’s no way around this they are super strict.

My BIL and I are coming in from New Orleans on Aug 9th and are angling at playing Black on Saturday (anytime) or Sunday AM. 
I’ve been reading the threads and website articles but have some follow up questions. 
1. If the bots get all the tee times where do they go? What website resells them? I don’t wanna be part of the problem here but as a Non-resident seems like only other choice is carline. Or get lucky on cancellations

2. What happens if we show up in the carline at 11pm. That too late to get a tee time?

3. Is there a website or part of this forum where we could link up with some locals who could “get us on” with state access? We’d be happy to treat. Both sub 6 handicaps. General good times.
