Tried to fix a violation then given another for trying to fix it. Please help!

I am new to the site, so still learning the rules. But, I was initially given a violation for having two open ads. So, I tried to fix that and posted them into one ad. Then, I was given another violation for a 30 days relist violation from a different moderator. So, both ads are now archived. I'm afraid to touch anything now for fear I'm going to be sent to prison. I just want to list my items but now I'm in purgatory and don't know what I did wrong. I was just trying to rectify the violation. How do I get my ad to be live without a further violation??

it looks like you closed it so you cannot re-list anything from it for 30 days from the start date (April 18).

 

So you can either

1. Hit the report button and ask for it to be re-opened- realizing that it is going to be pages down on the list of open ads.

2.  Start a new ad with other items not included in the April 18th ad.  Then, after that stuff sales, close it and wait until the 30 days has passed from the April 18th ad and place another ad with those items.

3.  Wait until 30 days from April 18th and place an ad with everything you want to list.

 

You probably are better off with option 2 for visibility

Thank you for your response! I had no idea about all the rules. That's a newbie mistake on my part.

 

If I'm understanding the spirit behind the rules, is it so any person has one ad running at a time and can simply add items? Instead of having separate ads for individual items. Like it's your personal storefront.

Yes only one active ad permitted at anytime.  Adding items has it’s rules too - you may add items to an unpinned ad only, pinned ads you’re not allowed.
