BBCode support for images

I was trying to post Imgur photos using bbcode the other day, but it was failing. My assumption is this is disabled, but wanted to double check to make sure.

BBCode is a legacy markup language that was originally designed to allow users to submit rich content prior to the advancement of WYSIWYG editors. BBCode support is deprecated and may be removed in a future release, and we recommend leaving this option disabled for greater performance and reliability if your community does not rely on BBCode parsing to format posts.

Thanks. Is there an alternative for linking/embedding images other than uploading?

Copy and paste seems to work well.

I believe that uses up your attachment space though, yes?

Doesn't appear so. e.g. that pic I just posted doesn't show in my attachments.

 

Further, the link to the image I posted is within the page source, so I expect the image is loaded on the fly; whenever the page is viewed.

 

Attachments, I believe, are held on the wrx servers as being yours and I think only pics/docs/whatever you upload from your device go into your "attachments".

I’ll play around with it, thanks. I just assumed they would be attached without testing. Rookie mistake.

Just copy and paste links into message should work. What is the link you are trying to embed

I guess it’s been so long since I’ve posted with any regularity on any forum that I didn’t think to try the easiest solution lol. I’m used to old forums 😅

Really ? That WRX logo I copied and pasted is NOT in my attachments. Maybe there's more to it ? (<--- in fact, that emoticon is copy and pasted and that isn't in attachments either)
