Played Original ZX7 for a full season and played my best Golf Ever.

Tried to replace them with T150 770s T200, .....

Sold them because I'm an idiot....  Finally work up and Ordered a new Set of ZX7 MK2 same specs as my original set (Modus 120 standard Specs)

Cannot wait to get them.

The Combination of Feel, Looks, Sound and Bag Appeal cannot be beat

That is all!

Also getting a fresh set of Black RTX 6.0 to go along with them.  I find them much more forgiving than Vokey on Full shots for sure.  They don't feel as good as SM10 though but Ill take the ease of use.

Have the ZX7 MKIIs as well - brilliant irons. Enjoy them

For someone who loves the ZX7, can you tell us more about the comparison you felt between the Vokeys and the RTX? Considering changing to Cleveland myself and play ZX5/ZX7 combo and don’t see a change coming although this site really makes it easy to

This is pretty close to my story. I only started playing again 5 years ago. Bought 718MB as it was the only thing I liked the look of. Played pretty well with them and when the grips were getting old I tried to replace them with T100 21 Model. Never got on with them at all so then went back to 620MB. Played ok but last few months I had been noticing that my strike is not as consistent as it used to be and as a result my mishits were dropping off massively. E.g. My 620MB 7 iron goes 145M on average but when mishit it was losing 10-12M. Pretty much 2 bad shots a round and it would cost me severely. I hit 250 balls at the fitter and  I compared 620MB with Blueprint S (which was what I had my heart set on), ZX7 MkII and Mizuno 245. The ZX7s were significantly better in almost every way, looks, feel, $ and more importantly mishit management. The ZX7 7 iron went on average 155M but mishits only drop 3-5M. I placed an order and they turned up after 2 weeks. I've played 6 or so rounds with them and I'm amazed at how much easier the game is when you stand over the ball and are not under pressure to absolutely middle it. My main miss is fat and yesterday I hit 2 shots that I was sure were going to come up short of greens. To my amazement, both shots made it to the putting surface, with the MB there is NO WAY those shots would have made the green. I have just this week sold the 620s and I'm never going back. The 718s are next for the chopping block 😄

Also, I had been a vokey man since my return to golf. I took a punt on the RTX 6 Tour rack 58/12F to replace my SM9 58D and wow. It actually feels more like a forged iron and it doesn't seem to produce the vokey 'flier' that I often got. Needless to say I sold the 46/50/54 vokeys also and replaced the 50/54 with RTX6 Tour rack. I went with the ZX7 PW as it looks so nice and, it might be the honeymoon period, but it seems much easier to hit knock downs than with the vokey 46.

Very happy indeed. Enjoy yours.

Ive been a Srixon iron guy since I first hit my 565/765 combos.  The front/back dispersion is what sold me.  The new offerings are the first ones Ive looked at or hit since putting mine in the bag back in 2016 lol.  They feel great, are forgiving, and look stunning.  I have total confidence with my iron game with them.

I recently went thru a 4i dilemma as my utility 20* club.  I landed on the new zx4 mkii 4i.  I hit tons of different heads and shafts - and the Srixon prevailed.

I hit the T100/T150 at launch. They were really good, but couldn’t beat the ZX7 MkII. This year’s Mizuno line looks interesting, but I think I’ve learned my lesson

I hope to find a groove with the split set I ordered last week. They might be coming in next week. I've figured out everything in the bag but the irons have never clicked for me. A shaft that has worked for me is the PX LZ 6.0. I seem to find the middle more often than not.

Here's to hoping!

I played the original ZX7 for about a season and they were great Irons. I tried the ZX5's and flipped them after a few rounds and honestly hated them. I seems to struggle with wide soled irons and the " Feel " was too " Clicky " for me. I went back to the OnOff Kuro Irons that share the Endo forged DNA the Srixon ZX7 & ZX7 MK II have. I am a Badge Carrying Club Ho so I bought a set of ZX5 MK II and again found them not to fit my game and then went on to a set of Mizuno Pro 245's and they lasted 4 rounds or so 😆

I would definitely try the ZX7 MK II but I'm trying real hard not to buy another set of Irons.  Single Piece Forged Irons with some forgiveness is still my preference.

I also played Srixon ZX5s in the past and loved them.  They are superb quality.  The Cleveland wedges are also first class.

First set of Srixon irons were the 785's,

Liked  them , and now the ZX7's  are in the northern bag. Impressive irons.

I am certain that the OP will enjoy the MKII's. Just another in a long list of solid performing irons by Srixon.

I have a set of 785 in my garage at my SIM and I was playing on course some TM 7MC, Mizuno MP18 and Wilson D9F after. But none of them could really impress me. Right now I got a really bargain on a Set of Srixon ZX7 MK2 and I could not be happier. The head of the older 785 is slightly larger, right now I am thinking of switching the long irons, but need to check the gapping.
