Moved to these from 790s and 770s.  Feel is obviously better but the 245s are not a distance iron.  The 790s and 770s are longer for me although this is possibly due to the spin rate.  I have found the 245s spin more than both Taylormades, which is what I was looking for when I switched.  Over all they are a great iron that fit my swing better than my previous sets, although I’m about 1/2 a club shorter with the mizunos.

Don’t get sad. Irons are just about the worst thing to ho in my opinion. Been there for a few years and it literally worsened my game every time I did it. Takes your mind away from the game and focuses it on what’s in your hand instead. You start to second guess if it’s you or the club. I also find the more I test, the more everything in the category performs almost identically. It’s about finding what you’re most comfortable over the ball with. Wasn’t being a dick, genuinely. You posted irons and took them down multiple times it’s obviously in your head a bit.

I moved to the 245’s about a month ago.  Been a previous PXG Gen3 0311 P/Srixon 565/Cobra Forged Tec Black.  The 245’s are hands down a better looking club, the smallest of all the ones I listed and also feel the best when flushed. I’ve only played 3 or 4 rounds with them now but I’m super happy with them. The consistency on the numbers for me have been great. Turf interaction has been great too.

I've had a set since late March and I think they're phenomenal. Came from 223's which I also loved but the look of the 245's is just so sick. Having been previously unavailable in LH, I pulled the trigger blind immediately at pre-release.

The feel is great, and I can't believe they pack so much forgiveness in that small of a package.

No issues getting the ball to land and stick; no fliers. They're probably 1/3 of a club longer than my 223's. FTR I ordered them 1° weak.

These irons are perfection.   I like smaller profile irons (gives me mental advantage in the rough and tight lies) with forgiveness that provide a lot of feedback. Have played apex 21, zx4 mkii and now these, and like these by far the best. These rock and are beautiful which matters to me too.

one of my first shots with the 4 iron on the course was totally pure and stuck a small tight green 220 uphill (225 total).  Those types of shots make me keep coming back and give so much confidence.

also the t24 wedges in copper are fantastic as well.

Wanna love these, but everytime I go hit them I also hit the 243s and can't stop hitting them.

Coming from the 20 mmcs, the 243s look smaller with a slightly thinner top thin. Thinking about 243s w Project X io 6.0. That combo is absolutely addictive to hit.

Agree with the Big Man. I am using 225’s, not 245, but they are very close in performance in my demoing. I came from the latest 790’s (and several gens of these), PXG 0311P Gen 3 AND Gen 5 and my 225’s are HANDS DOWN the best hollow body iron. Very consistent distances, great turf interaction, and feel very crisp. Beautiful irons.

Hit a few iron shots today that will put me to sleep tonight thinking about them. Just pure!

I'm sure the 243's are great. I really liked my 223's. Us lefties don't get all the options though...

Received my 245s last week (and after confirming specs with the fitter) got them on the course this week. I’m coming from TM 770s (with C-Taper Lite stiff shafts).  So far, I’ve found the 245s (with Project IO stiff shafts) to be higher launching (and higher peak height), a club longer, and more forgiving (distance and left/right) than the 770s.  I’m a fan of the 770s but so far, the 245s are looking like a significant improvement for me

Agreed based on my limited sampling size.  I will be playing 3 rounds this weekend and will be able to better confirm.  The extra distance is causing me to look at gapping at the top and bottom of the bag.  In my mind, this isn’t a bad problem to have with how the 245s are performing

1 round in.  They feel similar to 790s.   They look better.  They are also very long.

Had a bad ball striking day yesteray and the 245 were tested.

Ill give them 2 rounds this weekend before I make a final decision on clubs for 2024 remainder of the season

They are incredible! I can hit anything, but these allow me to do everything I want (high, low shaping) plus do anything boring. They are crazy hot but also I can take some off here and there.  Out of the rough no issues, but on flyers DEFINITELY club down sometimes even two, bc I have flown two greens completely unexpectedly.

The big thing is my setup has a little goofiness going from 43* PW to 50* gap but I haven't totally experienced challenges yet

this was my main concern with looking into them was the fliers being too nasty, i previously had a set of 923 hot metals that experienced fliers even out of the fairway and ended up selling them

definitely not a concern from fairway or first cut though! I can hit the PW from 120-150 from the fairway with repetition

Just got fitted for these.  They don't feel as good as a full forged club.  Still better than most of the other hollow bodies.  Launched pretty high.  Lofts are a little goofy; I don't like the 5* gaps on the shorter clubs.

Bend them?

How would you guys rate the head size wise? Similar to a PXG 0317T, TM770 or what iron from other brands would they be similar to. I am trying to get a good gage on the head size. The sole width and top line of the club. Being that they are hollow body how would you rate the feeling, would it be similar to a PXG 0311T iron for example.

For those that had the lofts weakened, did it affect the bounce or ground interaction. I am considering getting these as change up from PXG Gen4 0311T irons but have reservations about the stronger lofts and would like to get the lofts weaker to get the PW to 45 degree.

smaller than 790s.

Bigger (Slightly) than T150s.

Maybe on par with T200s ..
