Yes, impact is softer.   I have a couple other Carbon Steel putters, much prefer the softer thud instead of a ping.

Those have been taken over by Odyssey and will be phased out very soon. No more Garage for now.

Do they offer a slant neck style for the Austin or San Diego models? I know the “small batch” line had one but I do not believe those are available. Thanks!

I will send Sean an email as well on this.  I had a Garage Rochester a few years back in the pre Odyssey days and have now picked up an all black San Diego with the stability shaft. My usual putter grip is the Lamkin Deep Etched cord and I’d love to get the Toulon one you’re using on the new putters but don’t see it available on your website.

 

It it possible for me to get one from you?  Please advise.

Great question.  I picked up an old Toulon deep etched from the bay.  I prefer them to the foam style.  Following up on your question - if I can scrape up enough funds to buy a carbon LV I'd love to order it with a red rubber(real or synthetic) Toulon grip.  Just feels better than the other style to me.

Got a quick reply this morning. Great customer service! For a fair price I have a Toulon Deep Etched Cord en route.

I pulled the trigger on a La Jolla before they ran out. Rolled it the first time today. It is without question the best looking putter I've had, and I've had a lot lol. It is a perfect blend of the round shape of a newport and the squared off shape of a newport 2. It's very much a softer newport 2 without being too big. Very easy to align and release in hand. The feel is soft but solid, I wouldn't say out of this world compared to other putters I've rolled but nice. The head shape is perfect though. I have little expectation it will materially change my putting, but I do know I will be excited to pull it out of the bag 😍

You'll have to go '24 for the sight dot. '24 will be phased out, I'd imagine. I'm not saying this with 100% certainty, but I would think that it would just go out as time moves on. You may be able to find one second-hand or from Carl's.

Got a question for my Alcatraz users! 
 

Currently gaming a Alcatraz Dbl bend black out counterbalanced 38”. I absolutely love it but am curious about traditional length, I just don’t want to cut my gamer and not like it. Was thinking about ordering the plumbers neck in a 34” to test it out.
 

any idea how the plumbers next will release in comparison to the dbl bend neck?

There will be a plumber's neck option but the dots will change to a line on the top. I think H1 only in that model but there will be a mini Alcatraz in H1 and DB neck as well.

Yes, can definitely tell vs Alcatraz. Carbon Proto Las Vegas is the mallet putter perfected or very close to it.
