Callaway 2X Trade-in Bonus (June 2nd to July 1st)

interesting.... so is the callaway website going to show the full 2x promotion on multiple clubs at checkout and then refuse the refund after you placed the order. as it is, it apepars you can check out and get the 2x promotion applied on multiple clubs to a single purchase.

for those who've gone through the process in the past, how does callaway request the used clubs. do they ask you to ship on your own terms, or do they provide a prepaid postage label or box? if you complete the checkout process online through the site just wondering how the entire process is completed

Now that I’m not sure. I just know last year Callaway told me 1 for 1 but Edwin Watts let us trade in a bunch, heck they even gave us gift cards back for the difference! It was great.

Prepaid label. Once you checkout, in about ten minutes they email you the label. Couldnt be easier.

That fine print was present last year and Callaway accepted multiple clubs on a Single wood order.

tried to place an order for a TD max driver, $100 upcharge to switch from 9 to 10.5 loft, anybody else seeing that?

FYI I just placed an order for the Ti 3W. That thing is a beast. Hit one an hour ago at local store. I was swapping that head and my current Paradym TD 3W and the Elyte Ti was going 20 yards longer, mostly carry! I also did a shaft comparison and the stock Denali Charcoal was going further/higher than my Ventus Velocore Red.

 

Callaway accepted the 5 club trade in and is showing my full trade-in/trade in bonus on the order.

The site is switching the shaft to the Aretera behind the scene, which is a $100 upcharge. Go to custom shafts and swap it back to the Tensei black. Weird though.

for additional info from those with experience.... if i'm trading in the driver, will Callaway ship the new Elyte driver asap and then i can return the trade in driver once the new is received. Basically so I'm not out of a club between trade in and new?

Yep, unless they've changed you have something like 30 days to send in your trade ins. I'd always just wait for the box to come with the new items before I shipped the trade stuff in.

You can wait to send your driver in for trade in until after your new one arrives. You will pay the full cost of the new club then once Callaway processes your trade in you will get refunded for the trade in amount.

As a habitual buyer from CPO and various DTC brands, the idea of paying $650+ for a new driver just feels dirty to me. That said, the opportunity to clean out my spare clubs pile without having to deal with listing, selling, and shipping everything individually seems quite appealing, especially since I could get in to a new TD max for a net $50.

Dropped in to my local store initially to just look around, but turns out they were participating in the deal as well. 3 swings in the fitting bay and I was sold.

Well I received my Elyte mini today and my 5wd and 7wd so ready for tomorrow's round.  The only problem is that I still have over $1400 in gift cards and I don't need anything else!  What to do, what to do!  lol

It's a pretty awesome driver. I mean this thing can handle hits anywhere on the face with minimal loss, if any. Looks great at address! Callys best driver imho

Check dealers around you. The place I snagged my TD Max from had 3 of them sitting on the rack.

Sad that this was limited in LH. I called the morning they launched them and after going through the order with me he called back and said he had to cancel the order as they weren’t offering them in LH (LH options were offered in limited quantity). Still disappointed in this.

Trying to purchase an elyte hybrid and trading in multiple clubs, website isn’t showing the trade bonus at checkout?  Tried refreshing the browser and no luck…

 

Refresh my memory, Cally charges the full amount and then after the trade credits back the trade plus bonus?

Mine did that alot and I kept having to refresh to get it to show back up once I left the cart and browsed some more.

 

That is correct.  You pay full amount and then when they receive your trade items, they will credit back the amount of the trade in value.

I had the same issue with the site. If the refresh doesn’t work, try removing one of your trades from cart and re-adding. Should reset it.

Most places I know will only allow one club to be traded in for 2x.  I called DSG and golf galaxy and they were only applying the bonus to one club.  I havent tried PGASS or WorldWideGolf though

I ended up having to call in because every time I added the second wedge I wanted to trade it would remove the double bonus. I had to wait on hold about 10 minutes but once I got through they processed it all quickly.

 Yep went into golf galaxy yesterday and they only applied the bonus to only one club. What’s interesting is that they valued my clubs differently than Callaway’s website..

If I'm going by what World Wide Golf has online, then it will be lower than Callaway's.  I'd be 99% sure that DSG and Golf Galaxy will probably be less as well than what Callaway is offering.

One club was lower, another was higher..

 

I don't know if this was a mistake but my Golf Galaxy also added tax onto the trade in value? So for $130 value I actually got something like $285 credit...

That’s kinda odd. I asked the store about it while I was picking up my TD Max and they said they ship all the trades straight to Callaway on these promos, so they didn’t care at all about condition. They punched everything in through their Callaway dealer portal and matched all the values exactly to what their site online had offered me.
