Pictures I upload are all black

Been having this issue for quite some time. When uploading pictures to BST ads half of them upload and are all black. I have to take screenshots of my pictures and then upload again. Any idea why this is?

 

using iPhone (current model) current iOS and browser is safari.

I believe the issue is that you need to upload .jpg/.jpeg and apples default format is .heic.    You can open your images in OS preview then choose "File" then "export..." and choose .jpeg

 

edit: the second sentence is for Apple OS (not iOS).   I take pics on my iphone, airdrop 'em to my OS and convert.   I am sure there is an app or maybe even feature in iOS to convert to .jpeg, but the method above is what I use.

I see I can change the formatting to “most compatible, which saves as jpeg. Weird how some pictures will actually show but most upload as black. I’ll switch the formatting and see if it makes a difference.

ah..yes.. that makes sense. I figured there had to be an easier way to convert and there it is in the camera settings.

My photos are either .jpg or .jpeg and most of them show up black. Can’t figure it out.

The golfwrx site is terrible for uploading photos. Has gotten a lot worse. Hardly works at all with new iPhones and there is no rhyme or reason to which show up and which display in black. Really an awful experience dealing with this site. Constant bugs.

Nothing has changed in terms of formatting and all Tour pics are uploaded the exact same ways as the BST.

 

Heic format has never been supported. 

 

Either convert the file or change phone settings to most compatible.

 

If the photo is black, most likely the image needs to be resized to 1024 with aspect ration on.
