Season Ending Shoulder Surgery Sale- Kyoei forged irons, Ping ISI BeCu Heads, LA Golf Trono, Brass milled putter

Well my season ends today with shoulder surgery scheduled for tomorrow, so selling off a few things to give me some gear shopping money while I can’t play.  All prices are with shipping to lower 48 included.  Everything is boxed up and ready to go.

 

1. KZG Kyoei forged cavity back irons 3-SW.  4-AW are shafted with Recoil ES F4 stiff shafts, sand wedge shafted with Recoil Prototype 125 F4 stiff shaft.  3-iron (not pictured) is head only and is in mint condition.  5-iron measures 38.5” without the grip with 3/8” increments between clubs allowing for longer short irons and wedges (PW measures 36 5/8”) Standard loft and lie.   Incredible set of irons, softest feel I’ve ever hit.

2. Ping ISI BeCu beryllium copper head set, 4-SW.  Heads are in good condition.  Black dot, standard lie.  Have been bored for .370 shafts.  Not a matching serial number set, 7 and sand wedge are different.  Great set for a modded, modern set of ISI’s.  Beautiful patina.

3. LA Golf Trono Mini-Driver shaft.  65 gram stiff flex 42” length.

4. Brass head Spalding putter milled.  Fantastic 1980’s era Spalding putter that was milled and polished.  Hand wrapped Neumann leather wrap grip with matching leather headcover.  36” playing length.  Incredible feeling putter.

5. Edel DGR 58* wedge.  Good condition, KBS 115 shaft, 35”.

I had shoulder surgery, so I know why you have to end your season so soon.  It takes 6 months before you can swing a club again.  Soft tissue heals very slowly and there isn't much blood flow in the area.  When I returned to golf, I was swinging just as hard as I used to, but promptly had 4 tears again, so be careful when you return!

Thanks for the heads up CaymanS.  Was yours rotator cuff?  Mine is two tears in the labrum from a car accident.  Doc said 4 months recovery.

I had a labral tear on the left side around 7 years ago from a fall on the bus, never had surgery done because I was unaware that it was torn for a number of years after (there was severe nerve pain masking it). I still reaggravate the injury every few months now and regularly need to take time off. Take care of yourself and truly be kind to yourself in the process. I have my fingers crossed that yours heals better than mine did!

Yes, 4 tears all rotator cuff the first time.  When I reinjured it, the original repairs held up, but now I have 4 new tears, 1 labrum, 1 biceps tendon and 2 rotator.

Ah bummer.  Well I’m sitting here in a sling watching YouTube golf videos, just daydreaming about playing again in 4-6 months.  Hope I never have to go through this again.

Good luck with the shoulder. Recovery takes a wile and it’s not one you can rush unfortunately. Hope it’s smooth.

Good luck with the surgery. Best advice is “don’t rush it, be patient and be diligent with your PT and any exercises they may want you to do at home.”

Thanks guys.  Almost two weeks since the surgery and so far so good.  I meet with the surgeon on Monday for a checkup then start PT the following Tuesday.
