The different length has nothing to do with it, and actually would work to get your driver to you quicker.  If it's custom in any way, it's built in Mexico and shipped overnight to you whereas shipping on a stock club can take a bit longer. 

For reference, I ordered a 13.5 with a Denali Black, -1/4", standard sleeve with a midsize Winn grip.  

I got an email from GlobalGolf (who was still showing allocation after Callaway said sold out) that they were expected around August for the 11.5 I ordered.  So it may be that the 11.5 was in shorter supply.

Just glad I have my order in and one of these allocated to me. Will update to see what I find out about what’s holding it up. Guessing at this point it’s either the 11.5 degree heads or grip since I’m seeing other Denlali blue shafts orders in supply.

The TX blue shafts were/are backordered when I ordered my Smoke TD and Smoke FWs, but I just got a TD Max with a 60x Denali Blue delivered two weeks ago.  I hated it FWIW.

Ok. I just got off the phone with Callaway and identified the culprit for reason of the delayed (til end of July) shipping. The Denali Blue 60 stiffs are backordered so until the mid-end of July. So, I had them swap out the shaft for a Tensei Blue AV 65 stiff instead (I’ll most likely install one of my exotic shafts instead). Rep said my order should be shipping out within the next couple days 🙂

Good to hear you waited it out to get it fixed lol, 64th in the queue is crazy.  I thought it was bad last week when I was like number 35.

 

It's sad how undersupplied the Denali Blues seem to be.  Callaway/Project X really messed up IMO.  If they'd have had more read at launch there would undoubtedly be a lot of Denali Blues out in the wild.  So many people wanted a TX originally, but to hear they're not having trouble with stiff is just dumb on their part.

No, I didn’t ask. Only that the Denali Blue stiff shafts are out of stock and is the hold up. Also mentioned resupply of the heads will either be a really long time or not happening per the rep.

I've got an 11.5° on its way. Just curious if there were unexpected delays.

The Precision Golf folks in the UK mentioned this on their Monday live podcast.  They said they got 8 each of the 11.5 and 13.5 heads.

Zero.  Heads are sold out.

 

 Restock may happen later in year but doubtful as the new driver fairway wood cycle start to show up on tour in a couple of months and goes is for sale at the first of the year.

I'm somewhat surprised that Callaway is sold out of the Mini-Driver. Seems like they really under estimated the popularity & didn't order nearly enough. I was going to buy one but now I can't. Hopefully they are able to make more of these later this year. Not sure who does their marketing research but thinking they just left a ton of money on the table.

Did they? They just sold out of a niche product. They probably easily met their roi on it which was fairly low for something niche.

I’ll have one extra in lefty. I didn’t realize it was a limited release/do it on purpose, just had two shaft options I wanted to try and don’t usually like Callaway clubs, so there wasn’t anything else I wanted to order in its place w my trade in.

And FOMO is why I didn’t buy one right away. I jumped and bought TD Max and not any different than anything else I own. I also carry a 3w that never gets hit. I’ve tried 3,4,5 and I just don’t hit them enough. I hit driver fairly straight so I’d rather max out off tee than lay back.

In my opinion, yeah they didn't make enough. If they can sell out of what you define as a "niche" product before it even actually has been released to the public then I'm thinking they didn't make enough thus leaving money on the table. That's just how I see it but to each their own.

This I agree with. Having this and the td max on the 2x was very dumb on their part from a revenue purpose. From a units sold it’s great.

Yes, you have to call them. For whatever reason they decided to do a website migration in the middle on the 2x trade in…and are having issues
