For being a 7 handicap I probably care more about superficial things than I have a right to. That being said, to me, the TSR2 looks much better at address and definitely felt better off the face. If you’re getting on well with the Callaway I don’t know that you’d find much in moving to TSR2 but that is of course impossible to say for certain. Both very forgiving and I never found myself wanting for ball speed across the face with either and as you’ll see from my previous posts I’m no speed demon.  I do wish I had some quantitative comparison data to offer you. Anecdotally, I firmly believe the HZRDUS black in the TSR2 was a better fit for me than the Tensei AV blue I took a flyer on in the Smoke Max, which was confirmed in my fitting for GT and is why I stuck with the 4th gen HZRDUS Black in GT2.

Don't sleep on the GT4. 430CC isn't that small and especially with the weight back it's shockingly forgiving.

I got fit into the same but went with 1k black for now because I have the VF 6x already. Might also pick up a Ventus black to test. 
 

But yeah, I thought the 4 felt great and did not seem unforgiving even with weight forward.

If I had them on a launch monitor back to back I’d bet there’d be no difference, although I did launch the smoke max a touch higher.

Stayed with TSR4 in driver, but the GT2 3/5w, absolutely beat out my TSi3 3/5, perfect head shape, great sound and feel, better launch, more carry, better dispersion, ordered both.

I was fit into the GT3 from my epic flash and saw a 21 yard carry increase and 24 overall.  Roughly 6 mph ball speed increase. Pretty sick.  Patiently waiting on it to arrive now.  I was told around 8/22.

 

Anyone else preordered and have similar dates? I've seen elsewhere on the internet about some orders already being pushed into Sept, and some orders have already delivered.

It did, but didn't' beat TD Max by a whole lot.  It's a damn good driver.    

 

I wrote in the Titleist 2024 thread last night about a lot of different shafts I messed around with yesterday with the Titleist fitter between appointments.

Got fit in GT3 11* with Tensei 55g stiff.  Swing high 90’s.  Ball speed 145-150.  Gained 7 yards ish but very interestingly this driver went about the same distance every swing.

I was also fit into GT3 10° coming from Epic Flash 10.5 at 9.5. I didn't have as big of gains as you so my hzrdous smoke black 6.0 was a good fit in the flash. GT3 brought down the launch, peak height and spin by about 500 rpm's which netted me about 7 yards on average. But i wasn't swinging great so i think there's more in the tank once i have the gt3 and get used it. Off center hits performed better and the spin range was tighter which was something I definitely wanted.

 

I tried the gt2, g430 lst, ai TD and qi10 ls. Unfortunately wasn't able to try ai TD Max. Gt2 and G430lst were runners up but i couldn't get any of these other options to do much if any better than my epic flash. I don't know if I didn't try the right/enough shaft options for these or what.

Fit by Titleist 3 weeks ago today. Still waiting. Fuji Red TR on back order. At least another week before the shafts arrive according to Titleist. Of course last week they told me they would arrive this week and ship this week. Hard to imagine that they didn’t have enough in stock to meet forecasted demand

I have a GT2 Driver and 18, 21 FW

I blined ordered a GT3 the day after my GT Fitting in June

This week while the fitter was here, I took the GT2 13.5 FW out and hit a few shots on one hole I had in mind for it and it did exactly what I wanted.   Ordered!

We sound like we were in similar spots.  I too had the hzrdous smoke black and loved it in the epic, but this current generation shaft felt a lot different to me and I went with the tensei blue this time.  All my numbers checked out to be really good.  Spin was way down, ball speed was still up on miss hits big time. The standard deviation for all these numbers was way down too.  Launch is much, much better.  A very piercing and flat ball flight.  My grouping of 20 shots was 21 yards wide and the center was 1 yard left of center line.  To say I'm excited is an understatement!

I should also add - I hit every driver in there.  The GT3 (and GT2) were miles better than anything else.  Second place was the triple diamond smoke. I had several long ones with it but the mishits were still very far left.  Actually my longest drive was with this club but it was a big pull.  I liked the G430 and it felt most similar to the GT, but I just cant get used to that sight looking down.  The darkspeed gave me some solid numbers. The Qi10 - no thanks.  At the end of the day, none of them were that big a difference compared to my epic flash except the GT and it was an automatic purchase.  I think it'll be worth the cost.

Just had fitting and as I suspected, what I ordered was WAY off from what fitting showed. 

 

I fit into GT2 9*, +2 weight, Ventus Black TR 7x at 45". 

 

Interestingly, I fit into GT3 3w, same shaft, 15*, standard specs. It was miles better than GT2 3w for me. 

 

Walked away scratching my head, but the numbers didn't lie. It was a normal swing day. Shots with my driver were what I usually see on the course, so not like I was patching anything. Guess that's why you go to fittings.

I finally started feeling better and go the GT3 out for two nine hole fun play. 

 

Initially I thought my swing was so off during the fitting that my spec were gonna be way off. Well, not the case. 

 

Fortunately the fitter has seen me swing recently and fit me for a 3 wood. He knew I was trying to get back to a fade with the driver.  This is why he went with a +2 gram weight up front. He said it would help with a fade. Went from 10° to 9° also. We kept the same shaft. Graphite Design AD UB 6X. 

 

I'm getting the same carry but will get more roll out as my landing angle is much better. I was landing around 47/50°. Now I'm 37°.

Fitted into a GT2 11 deg with a Ventus Red TR shaft.  It was the best feeling / performing combination i have hit in years.  The upgraded shaft was the magic.  The cost is a bit of an eye opener.

I demoed the GT2, 3 and 4. By far my favorite was the 3. It is almost identical in look to my TSR3. Fantstic club. I couldnt believe that they could upgrade the feel, sound and performance of the TSR3. I will be definitely get it when it reaches stores.
