GHIN on Apple Watch

Has anyone else had trouble getting the GHIN app to load on the Apple Watch after the latest app upgrade (3 days ago)?  Since the upgrade, I can’t get GHIN to load on the Apple Watch at all.  I’m not all that tech savvy, but I had zero issues until a few days ago.  The problems seem to coincide with the GHIN app upgrade designed to ‘improve functionality on the Apple Watch’ … ugh!!   I tried to uninstall/re-install the app and even reset the watch.  No go?!?  Any help would be appreciated.

I have had the same issues, I reached out to Ghin but they offered no solutions other than make Sur eI am in wifi range or adequate cell signal.  This has not been an issue with apps so if it doesn't correct soon than will have to move on to another app.

Thanks for the response.  I have also reached out to GHIN through the Carolinas Golf Association and they say they have been looking into it … yeah, sure!?!   They have an issue that they don’t want to acknowledge.  I haven’t given up, but it was working very well until the last app update.

Has this yet been resolved? I'm interested in using my Apple Watch vs. a dedicated golf watch in order to gather health related stats (e.g., heartrate) during my rounds that could be integrated into Apple Health.

 

I'd like an iOS/Apple Watch app that provides accurate GPS info (primarily front/center/back) but doesn't rapidly drain the watch battery. I recently demo'ed the app which is now called "Roundabout" and while it provided the desired information, battery drain was a real issue. 

 

Would appreciate input around an app that would provide the desired functionality and reasonable battery drain on the Apple Watch and is ready for "primetime" (as apparently the GHIN app is not).

GHIN works well on the Apple Watch as long as the Watch is still supported by Apple.  My watch is a Series 3 and is no longer supported; GHIN won’t work.

I’ve had no issues at all but I my watch is just a few weeks old. It’s always within a yard of marked sprinkler heads. Battery has been very good too.

How is battery drain by the GHIN app? Some of the apps drain Apple Watch batteries so quickly it's tough to get in 18 before the watch dies. The Apple Watch Ultra is too bulky for me otherwise I'd use it.

Battery life was good.  When mine was working, I just made sure I was nearly fully charged before starting my round.

Cancelled Arccos last summer, was trying to avoid another subscription  and found terrible yardages with some of the free GPS AppleWatch apps. Chicago finally allowed access to GHIN, excited to try this and see if it works.

I upgraded to an Apple Watch 10 and the GHIN app works great!!  Swipe left for hazard info, swipe right for scoring.
