Even if the balls are not any 'better', I like the rinse and repeat as it gives players the option to play either a firmer or softer ball with the launch and spin characteristics they need.  I'm hoping a 2025 pro v1 is just a soft 2023 x.

not really unique to titliest either although callaway and taylormade have been trying to innovate more in the past 3-4 years.

so is the 2025 pro v1  gonna further apart from the x or closer, i prefer the V1 to be further apart in spin(less)

I’d guess this years release they will be closer together since the 2023 was further apart than 2021.

i like the model year of pro v1 that had the least amount of spin as opposed to other years, was that 2017 model year?

So being an old X player (before the switch) now a V player. They have now totally ruined it for me with thise release. The V ball spins a TON more with the wedges and that just does not work for me. So bummed...

so it seems this years model's specs for the V1  are like the pro v1 of old

If the spin really has significantly increased (which I doubt) on the new Pro V1 that will pretty much put me in the Chrome Tour for good. I do look forward to giving the '25 V1 a try though.

It does for now but was talking to our Pro and he says they have some prototypes of a new version and it could get released later in the year.

If 200-400 rpm increase across the irons is life altering….

I have been wanting to try a Pro v1, if there was a model year that had the least amount of spin on driver and irons, what model year would it be?

The most readily available ball will likely be the 2023. The driver spin was pretty low for me (110 SS). Searching for a prior generation for a couple hundred RPM (max) is probably not worth the hassle. Early testing shows an increased spin on the 25 V1 throughout the bag.

I just hope they don't screw it up. My guess is they let the pros that play it try the protos and they make the decision. Probably not going to be a white box Team Titleist test on these.

I posted in another thread about the left dash that I'd be really surprised if they make any changes to it.  The purpose of that ball is to do what it does and if they change things about it then it isn't really the left dash.  I guess I could see if they had a common complaint from all the left dash players on tour then maybe making tweaks makes sense, but making changes to sell more balls to the average joe seems to go against why the left dash exists.

I putted with each model today. In the 2023 models (and before), the X felt noticeably more clicky than the V, but this year’s model, they are almost the same feeling firmness. I can barely tell a difference between the ‘23 and the ‘25 in the V model. The X feels softer this year compared to previous versions.

I have also just tested them on Trackman, and the ‘25 models does spin more than the ‘23 model. I was hitting 7-iron.
