Thanks for the info have you had a chance to compare driver spin numbers that’s what I’m curious about as a little bit more iron spin is ok.

Not yet. Harder to test driver numbers indoors if they are not RCT. I do have some metal dots and will try to later on for you.

Ok, just went down and tested.

 

7-iron: The 2025 ProV spun 300 RPMs more than the 2023. Carry was the exact same, but peak height was slightly higher (by 3 feet).

 

Driver: 2025 ProV spun 55 RPMs more, same carry and roll as the ‘23 version

I have heard left dash is not being changed this cycle so no release.

No new Left Dash this year because Titleist has not yet figured out how to make a better Left Dash. They're still working on it.

The Left Dash is still in its first generation (introduced on tour in 2018 with limited retail release starting in late 2019), so there is no established replacement cycle like the standard Pro V1/x 2-year cycle that has been consistent for the past two decades.

I believe it. But it's been around for three generations and Titleist still can't make a better Left Dash. That means there's nothing wrong with stocking up and no FOMO at all for 2025, hah.

Played yesterday with the V1X 2025. Few holes I put a 2023 X against it. It was cool and extremely windy. Honestly, the ‘25 was just a great golf ball to play with. I enjoyed every shot with it off of every club from driver to putter. I wouldn’t say overly clicky or soft. Just about as Goldilocks as it gets for me. Fought the wind well. Chip shots came up a bit short than the ‘23 because of some good spin action. Overall ended up ordering 3 dozen for the upcoming spring/summer!

So, what are the “changes” to the ProV1X? The new Pro V spins a bit more on irons but the same on driver. How has the X changed if at all?

From the perusing I have done, it sounds like a touch softer with more short game spin.

Titleist’s product training says both balls are firmer and spin more. Pro V1x still flies higher and spins more than Pro V1 particularly in the irons and wedges.

I hit the 23 v1x and 25 v1x head to head on trackman indoors.  I actually picked up almost 2 mph in ball speed with the new ball and saw a marginal spin increase, but a little less variation in spin.  The v1x flew a little bit farther.

I’m surprised there aren't more review videos comparing the 2025 to 2023. Ive only seen a couple pop up and they were pretty bad tests.

Im down in PHX for 10 days. Played the new V1X yesterday. Absolutely loved what I saw from the new ball. Have been playing the Pro V1X for the last 3-4 years. The durability on this year’s model really stands out. May be the most durable ProV release in a very long time. Ball seems/feels a touch longer. It just seems like it has a little more juice. Spin doesn’t seem that much different from the ‘23. Kind of feels a touch softer, but more testing is needed. Initial reaction is this is a great release!

Titleist R&D said in a recent interview they have been working with PGA players on this and stated they are getting close.   

 

I do like how they will not release anything just to release something......they actually try their best to make it better for their players and truly value the feedback they get.

 

They also said in trying to make a new left dash they actually created, by accident, a few CPO balls that may, stress may, end up in a few players bags......

Very interesting! All I want from a Left Dash is an extended triple track alignment that is 180 degrees. I'm over the rare equipment temptation lol.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is a “CPO” ball?
