Im down in PHX for 10 days. Played the new V1X yesterday. Absolutely loved what I saw from the new ball. Have been playing the Pro V1X for the last 3-4 years. The durability on this year’s model really stands out. May be the most durable ProV release in a very long time. Ball seems/feels a touch longer. It just seems like it has a little more juice. Spin doesn’t seem that much different from the ‘23. Kind of feels a touch softer, but more testing is needed. Initial reaction is this is a great release!

Your last sentence made me chuckle - I tried the new V1 on Sunday and felt it played a smidge firmer that the 2023 V1.  I haven't tried the new V1x yet...

What exactly would classify as “too spinny”? I messed around with all four balls on trackman today and saw about 200 rpms of difference between the new and old pro v1 on an 8 iron. No real difference on the driver.

If your swing speed is less than 125mph, my classification would be someone delivering too much loft at impact 😄

Excited to play the new prov1.  I had moved to the x to pick up a couple hundred rpm, but miss the softer feel

I actually think this is going to be the sweet spot for the '25 ProV1--someone who likes the spin of a Prov1x but wants softer feel.

Same experience, played the new 1x for two rounds and it performed very well for me.  It's still a firm ball, but I found it to be less clicky, especially off the putter, which solved my biggest complaint with the 23 version.

Wonder why there have not been any review videos testing the new model vs the old model?

I agree I thought there would be quite more reviews and comparisons available even on this site I'm surprised how few actual experiences there are with the new balls. I do appreciate everyone that has shared their experiences and opinions Im in Canada so unfortunately no opportunity for me for a while yet 🥵

I think you articulated it better than I did. I was translating the less clickiness as softer. Really good ball this year. Giving it another go tomorrow and Sunday.

I wonder if Titleist have asked reviewers to not compare the new balls vs the old ones. Would have thought there would be several reviews done by now.

Anyone seeing slightly lower launch and less spin with 2025 Prov1x? Even though it feels softer it felt like it launched in slightly lower window and less spinny in my first round with one.

If that’s the case I’d go back to try the v1x. Played that ball for years until the 2017/2019 switch and suddenly it was spinny for me. Never gelled with the standard v1, was always too soft for my liking.

Even then, there are so many 'data review guys' independent of Titleist that typically jump all over this stuff. My personal opinion is a decline in intrigue theory due to Titleist being top dog. Re: Expectation Assimilation & The Familiarity Principle.

Tp5x. It’s as close as I’ve gotten to the old pro v1x for my game. Doesn’t have the same durability or consistency between balls from my experience.

the spin went down considerably on longer shots with the last 2 Prov1x's.  The 2023 was closer to the left dash than it was to those older spinny versions.  If the 2025 is even lower spin than 2023 then its probably going to be close to a left dash off the tee with a little higher iron/wedge spin.  Which sounds right to me as people love the distance of the left dash but it hurts their iron game in my experience.

This has been my experience. I’m not a high spin player by any means. V1 and V1X are very similar off the tee for me. I want to play the X due to the control around the greens and the firm clicky feel which I like but I am easily a half to a club shorter on all my irons and wedges. Ball just seems to fall out of the sky for me

I have been using the Chrome tour and X and even the TD and put the new Vi in play today and really liked it, not a high Speed guy and saw good Driver distance and really like it around the greens.

Soft but not too soft, wedges were good and off the putter it was very good.
