I see directly from Titleist you can get the yellow Pro V1 in the loyalty offer, it seems like it is white as the only option from PGA SS, Dick’s, Rock Bottom, Carl’s and others. Anyone see yellow Pro V1 availability in the 3/1 offer?

Ordered mine from Titleist this morning. ONLY the white balls are eligible for the promotion.

Any advantage/disadvantage getting the 4 for 3 deal directly from Titleist vs a 3rd party retailer?

I ordered last year from an online retailer (can't remember who at the moment) and the balls were drop shipped from Titleist, so I'd say order them from wherever you have store credit to use up.

Not really... Shipping times might vary based on the retailer, and I have noticed some retailers force you to "personalize" the balls to qualify for the deal (which adds a few extra bucks).

I’ve noticed variance in prices from different golf courses I received the offer from.

One course I order from each year gives a free round good M-Thur.  That’s an extra $60-85 dollars off depending on the time of day and year I use it.  Makes it a great deal.

I think it varies (which makes no sense).  This order form from one of my courses has yellow as an option.  But another course I order from (at a different price…again…weird) very specifically says yellow isn’t included in the deal.  But I was able to order Enhanced Alignment from them……

This year’s rollout has been a bit odd.

I noticed you have Pro V1 in your signature. Do you see any loss in distance with the ProV1 compared to the x?

No difference but I'm sticking with the new X this year, just needed the hair more launch and spin.

For a company that has its crap together when it comes to making golf balls, they sure don't seem to have it together for promotions.  Why would you not include the yellow version?  It's bad enough that last year they started to charge for personalization, now they are excluding.  At some point why bother with a promotion?  They are approaching the point of "peeing on your leg and telling you it's raining" IMO.

Or maybe I'm just extra curmudgeonly today....

Interesting.  How do they misread the market this badly?

It might not be that they misread the market, it could be that the demand during this sale is far outpacing their ability to produce all the different models and since the yellow and enhanced alignment models are the less popular versions, they are focusing on white golf balls only through some retailers.

If I can geek out... It's by design and there are a couple of different business factors. Manufacturers will look at their YoY 12-month retail projections and submit a forecast. Analysts in manufacturing/engineering pair projections with what is called a Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) or Mean Squared Error (MSE), which evaluates the business risk (focused between safe and max. profit goals) and gives them a demand variance. Acushnet suits will decide if the risk of increasing production costs constitutes - on an already 'less profitable' promo - with their already less significant SKU - is worth stressing over. They have elected to keep the efficiency of their manufacturing resources focused on what they are great at: making white pearls 🙂

Ordered some from my club's pro shop yesterday with a shop credit.   Was told that unless I am getting personalization done, Titleist won't ship to the shop, they will ship them to my house.  Not a big deal to me.   I guess some shops were using it to move existing inventory which Titleist doesn't want them to do for some reason.....

Did your order ship? I ordered them last night and this morning I got a "order was cancelled" email.

If you try to use it while logged into an account that has already used the welcome code, they will cancel. They also flag other information sometimes and cancel based on that (address, email, phone number etc)

More spin and ball speed. They are out there on YT.

Yeah not sure of either especially out on the course. Been picking up a bunch of fresh new ones and play them cause i find so many and after hitting them I think V1 and V1x are closer together than the '23 and for sure the '21 V1x as that was a really high spinner. V1 this year has a bit more of a click with the putter as some people did not like but i never had issues.

Prob the most exciting feature which is not performance based was seeing the new alignment and logo they made for the old aging stamp of the left dash lol

My testing supports it. The seven videos I’ve seen had the 25 deviation up in both categories. Titleist also stated it being firmer to do just that.

Even on the short chips there is noticeable difference. Example below.

Ill be trying the new V1 tomorrow.  Weather looks crummy - only in the 50s, but dry.  My local shop has bunch of the 23 V1 left so if I like that one better I can get those.  (Ive played and enjoyed 23 V1 model - actually liked both the V1 and 1x in the 23 iteration)

Tried the new pro v1 today, usually play the tp5x. It was longer for me, by a good ten yards with my irons, stopped quickly and despite hitting a couple of trees and a few bunker shots the ball is practically perfect. Give it another couple of rounds but I’m pretty impressed as the ‘23 ball was durable but felt short compared to my tp5x.

So played the new V1 today for 9. I like the prior gen better. Never felt right off the driver or irons. It's got a crap ton of green side spin tho, whoa. Serious chip and pitch stopping power.  But not for me.  I'll try the new 1x next weekend.

Weather was brutal today. 30mph gusts and 55f only.  I did shoot a 39 on the 9 I played with it so ...mm
