How are people finding the pro v1x compared to last year? Been playing the tp5x since last year but our greens are rock hard at the moment and I can’t stop the ball. Just want something that spins a bit more and the new pro v1 just seems to do the same for me.

'25 X cuts up more than '24..

Been playing the new ProV for several rounds now, really like it.  Yesterday went out and played, had one more sleeve of my Srixon XVs laying around and  thought I would just use them up and give them a try again, they were my go to ball for the past 5 years, and last year mixed in the TP5X.   Found the XV seems to curve noticeably more than the ProV, XV launched higher as expected, but I think the Titleist is slightly longer too.  Realized how much I like the feel of the softer ProV to the firmer balls like the XV.   Think I will stick the the ProV for awhile.

I tried the standard v1 earlier this year and struggled. It was long off the tee but seemed to jump off irons, even in the fairway. I airmailed greens regularly and couldn’t get it to stop. So I stuck with the tp5x I’ve used since its release last year.

 

Roll on today and I tried the new v1x. Superb ball, as long off the tee as the pro v1 and tp5x, but iron shots were a higher flight for me and stopped much faster. Iron shots were more consistent with my usual distances with my tp5x with no jumpers. Better feel for putting and chipping than my tp5x as well.

 

Downside is the new model is not as durable as the previous. I could play 2/3 rounds with the ‘23 pro v1 and it would still look great. BUT it’s no worse than the tp5x I’ve been playing for 18 months, so yes it’s worse than last gen but no worse than tp5x from my experience.

 

Was pleasantly surprised today, I’ve not played the pro v1x since they changed the balls round in 2017 or 2019 and I’ve always struggled with it since. Based off today’s result, I’ll be changing back to the titleist. It was like my tp5x but easier to stop, with no loss of distance.

Does anyone know if you can buy single sleeves of the enhanced alignment pro v’s?
 

I asked one of the guys at my PGATSS yesterday, and he told me they don’t sell sleeves of any ball, as I was looking at all the sleeves of balls by the cash register 😂

Same here have not played the X ball since they changed them. The new x ball has brought me back to them. It is great for my game...

I have to agree with this… 2 holes in with one ball and got a deep scuff from a wedge shot from the fairway.

I ended up sticking with tp5x but after today I’m not sure. Just seems to be the odd ball every now and then that performs in an odd manner but if I pull a used tp5x out it performs as expected. I’ve never had that from any titleist ball, they always perform as expected.

 

They’ve been out a while now, which ball is closer to the tp5x in the titleist range?

That’s my concern. Tp5x is a firm, low spin high launch. Not sure titleist make that - the v1 is low spin mid launch and soft, the v1x is firm, high launch but high spin.

Excellent stopping power, and good durability, but the V1 flies too flat, and the V1X feels too hard.

I currently play the Pro V1, and have been toying with the V1x but I just can't seem to get used to the sound and hardness so I always go back to the V1.  I'm probably giving up a little distance and spin, but it just "feels" and sounds better to me.
