Any pic f the ball?   I have played the X for 40+ holes and still ok.

Same I played a standard v1 for a full 18 with some erroneous shots annd plenty of chip/bunker shots and still looks fantastic. Only tried one ball from the sleeve so far, but definitely more durable than the Taylormade I’ve been playing.

I may have a bad batch of new V1s but four holes, and 20 shots, without a bunker or tree, damaged the ball badly. 2023 model in play for tomorrows comp.

I don't know about your course conditions, but I find that early in the season the ball can pick up little bits of sand without it being obvious and compressing that sand into the cover can really tear it up.  I saw that last year with the AVX when the new version came out.  I played 18 early in the season and the ball seemed to scuff up pretty easily.  Over the summer I played another 18 and even hit a few trees and by the end the ball looked like it could go another 18 without issue.

I have 5 rounds in with the 2025 ProV1. It is not as durable as the 2023. If I could pick between the two, I’d stick with the 2023.

It seems like a different paint. It seems *slightly* whiter. I’m probably imagining it.

For anyone who cares....

I order my balls direct from Titleist last Monday (3/17),  and they were delivered yesterday (3/24). Only took 1 week from order to delivery even though the site had a disclaimer saying the Loyalty Rewarded balls might take up to 4 weeks to ship.

Similar timing for me, and I ordered through Golf Galaxy for the extra points. Ordered on the 18th and they were drop shipped from Acushnet on the 22nd

Played a few rounds with the new pro v1 now. Love the performance and yes the durability is worse than the ‘23 model. However I find it no worse than my usual tp5x. So all in all a good ball for my game, seems easy to flight, long off all clubs and easy to stop for me.

Ended up grabbing a sleeve of the new v1’s when I forgot to restock my bag with the new PXG’s I’ve been playing… and oh man it’s making me contemplate spending an extra 2 bucks a ball to play them.

as @IUPGolf said, it really shined a light on flighted wedge shots. It was super windy today and I was able to control my ball flight much better with the prov1 than the X version of the PXG ball. Touch and feel was better on and around the greens… I might have to retest on an GCQuad I have access to and see if it’s worth it.

it really is a great ball, durability was better too.

Why is my 'loyalty' order from PGA Superstore placed on 3/28, still not to me yet?

All of those orders are shipped directly from Titleist and you ordered near the end of the promotion, so my guess is they have a bunch of orders to fill in front of yours.

Due to weather fluctuations, I have always used two different ball profiles; one for hot no wind conditions and one for colder weather, rain/wind conditions.  Been using DASH -ProV1 since it was introduced, and many months back, looking to replace new AVX, put the new Callaway Chrome in play; which performed better than AVX.

Until a few weeks back, hadn't had the occasion to test either 2025 ProV1x or 2025 ProV1.  So I wasn't surprised ProV1x was good off irons, but still not any better off Driver, AoA and the ball profile created too much spin, so went ahead and tested ProV1.   I was expecting not to be impressed, but I was surprised.  ProV1 hasn't been for my game for many years, until now.

The new ProV1 is longer for me than the new Chrome, but it feels better at impact off 620 MB and T100 irons and my Driver, and does what's expected into and on fast greens.  I am not sure whether it's my swing was tighter, and or I just like having my 620 MB irons back in the bag (played them from intro to buying T100); they are so sweet.

Anyway, over the last few rounds, only using new ProV1 ball we've been making ball striking music.  Whatever the composition change, it's good.  Nutting the ball makes me excited.  Hitting the ball a bit longer and really accurate is a thrill.  Yesterday, on #18, 408yd, I yanked driver to an area down the left I hadn't reached before, forcing an even tighter layup shot around water.  Using a hooded punch 3i, hit a straight punch shot into a narrow landing area next to the pond, then half PW to 7', pin high to save par.

If there’s one knock on the Pro V1 '23, it’s that the flight felt almost too penetrating at times. I’m not sure the ‘25 launches much differently, but I just got back from Ireland and played Adare Manor — future home of the 2027 Ryder Cup — and the ball just does everything it’s supposed to, every time, without any drama. Yawn, I know.

The V1 is boring… but when you’re playing fast, thin, elevated greens, it’s the kind of boring you want. It hits, sits, and holds just enough green, every single time.

PEP can you explain your AOA and ball profiles with driver? I am guessing you are "down" on the ball hence the higher spin profile is a "nogo" but I could be way off.

You're right.

With Driver, I hit down on the ball a tad, creating a negative AoA.  It's not pronounced but enough to enhance the ball's spin characteristic.  I actually like the feel of ProV1x with my irons, it's designed to spin more, thus higher trajectory.  The problem is, at times that spin costs a few yards, and especially not good for me in the windy conditions which I face often.  A few yards is a big deal to me.

With Dash -ProV1 or ProV1, I can manipulate the trajectory and maximize my distance.  The other noticeable result is as I age, DASH high compression needs a solid-hard strike to get its best.  ProV1 is a tad softer, so doesn't take as much punch to get the same distance and low-spin performance. 🙂

what do you mean "consistency between balls"?

I’ve found with the pro v1 that every ball from every sleeve plays the same. Over the years with taylormades I’ve found the odd ball that just seems to behave slightly odd. It may spin more than I’m used to or less. May go slightly further or shorter than expected. I used to put it down to me, but I don’t seem to find this issue with the pro v1.

It may be two balls in a dozen with the Taylormade (my ball of choice) but each time I’ve found this I’ve tried an old tp5x I know is fine or a pro v1 and my game goes back to normal.

A lot of quality testing by another site does show there are issues with many other manufactures for quality outside of Titleist

With my swing, the trajectory of 25 V1 is higher somewhat but not as high as DASH or ProV1x, and its spin just feels better for me than 23 V1.

It's replaced Chrome Tour.  It can be as long as DASH and playable (like CT) in various weather conditions, when DASH is just too difficult to maximize.  It needs to be hot and dry, then DASH -ProV1x is a tad longer.
