Which tour players use one of your clubs?

Thought this might be a fun topic. 

 

For me, I play an Odyssey 2-ball ten similar to the one used by Carlos Ortiz. Anyone else playing clubs with the same/similar specs as anybody on Tour?

Tom Watson played Ping Pals on at least a couple of his major wins. I dont own anything very modern that would still be on today's tour

Too many to list play my 2023 T100 irons.  Very popular on multiple tours.

 

PS: Ludvig Åberg plays my favorite 718 TMB 2 iron and T200 2 iron, alongside new T100 irons, and TSR2 driver and Vokey wedges.  🙂

I buy used and hold on to equipment too long to be playing much that is currently on tour. Having said that...

 

There was someone - long drive guy, name escapes me - who (apparently) played contemporary Cleveland drivers on tour for about 30 seconds.  

 

Beyond that, I do play i210's, but I don't think mine are very much like Hovland's.

My clubs are now too old to be used by any tour pro.  Maybe, back in the day one of my Vokey wedges or my G400 Max or my putter, but that's it.

 

I do have a couple of Opus wedges coming, so I'm going to have 2 current ones.

PING G430 7 wood... I don't know if anyone uses that specifically, but it's a pretty popular lineup for the woods

 

I have a very similar T22 to the CT that Koepka used before, but in a chromatic bronze finish instead of the plain silver 

 

I have two Tour Rats as well, but I'm not aware of any tour pro using them

One would think that RICKY FOWLER would play those clubs, too!

None of them.  When I was younger, I played tour stiff stuff and would often get/buy ex tour equipment.  Even stuff that looked similar to off-the-shelf offerings were still pretty different.  You can still find some of this stuff if you can game the shafts and smaller heads.

 

Once got a 905 driver and Titleist blades (back in Miura times) from a Titleist staffer who was on Ryder cups and won tournament and the shafts and the way that they were made with the bore-through was different.  Beyond no serial numbers, the stuff was just not the same.  That driver was HOT and it sounded a bit different than other 905 drivers of the time.

 

Got a couple 913 fairways that were tour used with hot melt and all kinds of other things done to them.

 

The closest thing that I might have ever had was stock 200 series Vokey wedges since pros loved these.

 

You literally might be better off trying to put NASCAR stuff in your Camry than trying to play the same clubs that pros use.

Oh man, I would absolutely howl if a pro rolled into a tournament with my clubs. However, based upon the ROI I've gotten out of them this year, he/she might be pleasantly surprised!

No your player on tour uses any of my clubs.  If they did they certainly wouldn’t be on tour for long.

Cleveland classic driver, TE xcg7 5wood, Maltby 7+9 woods, Maltby TS4; nope.

 

Vokey sm9's; maybe.

I know I've seen some of my clubs on TV but not sure who still plays them.

 

Cobra LTDx LS - Most of the Cobra guys are in the Darkspeed stuff now and I don't think a single free agent uses a Cobra driver.

Ping G430 Max 3w - Davis Thompson and a few others.

TaylorMade Sim 2 Hybrid - I think Rory used one for a short spell.

Srixon Z785 Irons - Not sure who is still using these. 

Odyssey White Hot OG 7s - I caught one hole of featured group coverage at the Wyndham and Davis Thompson/Adam Hadwin both use this putter.

IIRC Steve Stricker played Titleist 755's for many years.  Unfortunately they are non-conforming now so I'll have to replace them with something.  I have no idea what at this point.
