This new shaft was planned before the alpha one/Fuji situation. It was planned to be slightly lower price than Ventus. Original name was sigma one, but i think that name was trademarked by ping.

Maybe that's why they used the greek letter Σ for Sigma in the name?

I know Aretera has wiped everything of theirs clean of the Alpha One, but I'd be curious if the shaft retailers can sell what they have in inventory?

i know will peoples removed his a few weeks ago. Fairway jockey still has them for sale

I would imagine they won’t fulfill the sales and just haven’t taken it down. Sometimes they’re slow to the punch on things. My guess is that they’ve directed retailers to stop sales

After watching this whole thing transpire, I don't see a world where Aretera survives.   Alpha one was/is good (both models tested) but nothing truly groundbreaking.  They had a great start, with some buzz, then all the s*** happened.  Then they seemingly throw together a shaft for release that gets lost in the lack of credibility sea.  We don't know the details, but you can read the tea leaves and guess.   

 

With that being said, I'd be down to try EC1 hahaha

IIRC there is a made-for version as a stock shaft in the new Elyt line next year.

You are correct. The shaft Callaway is offering right now for a $50 upcharge is the aftermarket Aretera EC1. I don’t know that a made for version exists. 
 

Anyone gone for the EC1 in the Elyte? It looks like quite an interesting shaft with how it is manufactured. 
 

Maybe Aretera’s early dispute with Fujikura is causing them to offer this shaft at a promotional price, but whatever, if it’s a great shaft that is not much of a price for a premium shaft. These retail for more than $300. I have liked the reviews I’ve seen on the EC1 Blue, it seems to have both excellent feel and stability.

I think they are doing it for market awareness and because OEM relationships are very, very important for a small start-up.

I have tried both the grey and the blue in different weights and absolutely love them..let me know what feedback you are looking for? I feel for me grey is best for me in driver and blue better in fairways. I have played ventus since it came out these are by far tighter and feel smooth compared to both ventus black and blue. Matter of fact I’ve played the blue before it became popular on tour so I’ve had that one a while
