Footjoy 2025, changes and new models.

Highlights for me, new packard lx with premium leathers. Traditions knit shoe, and another redesign for the hyperflex, looks somewhere between originals and last years model. New quantum look too. Big concern for me is lack of a hyperflex boa (or any boa) shoes in latest previews, no info to say they are gone, but a bit of a concern, I have 3 pairs of hyperflex boa in rotation and a spare pair and seldom ever wear my fields/flints.packards.

I am a fan of the Packards, the new ones look real good, and tumbled leather should be a bit more durable than the smooth/pebble leather

I actually do like the look of them compared to years especially the heel treatment looks much more comfortable. , just stunned they have dropped the boa model.

New Hyperflex Carbon's look pretty cool - wonder if they'll get dirty after 1 wear like the previous ones. I actually wear them now and that's probably my only knock. VERY hard to keep white. Those white/grey field LX's are sweet too. Definitely some good stuff.

How waterproof/stainproof are the flex? I had a pair of Pumas with similar material and they didnt hold up at all.

The tumbled leather looks awesome but can’t stand any of the color schemes. Any other premiere series models next year?

I like that the HyperFlex is ditching the integrated sock part, was never a fan of that. I am curious if they changed the upper material and if the sole material changed too. 

 

Premier series as usual always nice but the fit has me weary.

Packard LX already up on the website this morning. Only the navy saddle available. Sort of strange considering that the date shown above isn't for another 6 months or so.

anyone know what Prohide leather is/means ?

that's in the description for Traditions.

the Premiers are described with full grain leather, and up til a short while ago, it also appeared for the Traditions.

 

as one that has had issues with last years Traditions cracking...makes me wonder.

Yeah, not quite sure why that is. It seems inconsistent that models across the range aren't all one price? I could understand an increase for the LX versions of the various models, but regular Packards are $199, the Wilcox and Field LX are $219, then the new Packard LX are $249.

 

Why not just have a regular and LX price point?

The Packards have a nubuck saddle, and that is a water stain waiting to happen. I have an old pair of DryJoys that stained the first time I wore them.

80's maybe, I had a pair of TuTone FJ's wing tips with nails  that were all nubuck.

at least the dark green color didn't show the water stains much, the tan part - did.

gosh those things must have weighed at least five pounds but they were  perfect for crummy weather.

Not going to lie, those Field LX's in white/grey have my name all over them. Really like the Packard LX in grey/charcoal as well.

Packard White/Navy probably would fit a lot of what I wear, but a lot of the other stuff I don't like.
