The 12-1 Lions will have another tough opponent in Week 15 when the Buffalo Bills come to the Motor City.

Man, Dan Campbell has stones! Great game last night. Like TXBadger, I’m just not into the NFL the way I once was, but that game was worth watching. Too bad the Lions didn’t cover. I needed that RB to break through for the TD on that 4th down play. Would have been nice to see the Packers let him score once he had the 1st down, but that’s packing too much thought into split second decision making.

They’re losing that game. The Bills are gonna put up at least 35 on that depleted defense and I think the Bills defense can slow down the lions.

That should be a great game. I think Buffalo is a better team given the injuries, but Detroit will have extra rest. If Buffalo struggles against the LAR, which is a real possibility, the spread will grow. I think Detroit is favored by 3 right now.

Pro athletes being arrogant?  That never happens....I mean its not like they went out and produced something like the super bowl shuffle, right?  :classic_biggrin:

... The Super Bowl shuffle wasn't arrogant. It was just silly and embarrassing. As was the entire Ditka experience.

Detroit’s only favored since they are the home team. I can absolutely see the Bills blowing them out and winning by 3 scores

I've mentioned it before in another thread but it fits here now. I waited on Ditka in Vegas. Man did he think he was the most important guy in the casino.

... Not surprised. Buddy Ryan was the master of that defense. I think the Bears win that SB in spite of Ditka, not because of him. Some fans will never forgive Ditka for letting Perry score a TD when Walter Payton didn't have one.

... Here is the thing and why I think a Head Coach or OC/DC can be so valuable. Bad teams find a way to lose and good teams find a way to win. The Bears had coaching issues and found ways to lose games they should have won. Detroit and KC have great coaching and are found ways to win games they should have lost. In the end of course the players play and are mostly responsible for the outcomes of games but when it comes to the end of a game great coaching can make that little bit of difference. It is the NFL and anything I possible in any game and while I kinda agree with you that Buffalo has the ability to win by 3 scores, I just see Campbells Lions hanging in there and it will probably be a close game.

... Interesting that both the Bears and Packers games were played in Detroits dome and came down to the last play. I'd like to say the Bears have an advantage playing at home in the great outdoors but the combo of Montgomery and Gibbs in tough conditions certainly give the Lions an advantage.

I don’t put much stock on that Thursday thanksgiving game vs the bears. Both teams were coming off a short week so it’s bound to get sloppy at times.

... The Bears are ascending and Williams is playing at a very high level, although certainly still prone to rookie mistakes. They have lost 4 games on the last play of the game. Pretty easy to make the assessment they could have won at least 2 of those 4. But with new coaching it will be interesting to see the Lions/Packer games in Chicago. 49ers this weekend should be a good indicator of whether or not the new HC will give them a much needed boost.

I’d say 85-90% of the issues in Chicago boil down to coaching. The bears have lost 6 one score games. Caleb is playing solid and I bet the bears would be a 10-11 win team with Kevin O’Connell.

... 😂  Other than Cleveland most have no idea what it is like tho be a homer for a team that has historically been a vast wasteland for QB's. Andy Reed and Sean McVay couldn't have gotten any more wins out of Trubisky and Fields. The Bears traded UP for both in the first round selected 2nd and 11th. So the excitement level in Chicago is off the charts. Bears fans will also have an answer to how many more games could the Bears win with a genuine franchise QB?

Oh...who to switch to off Az?

Jax? Even though no Trevor, Mac Jones is just as good/bad against a horrible Titans team.  4.5 is a lot of points in the battle of the losers.

Buffalo?  There's just something about this game that sets off my caution meter.  It's not that the Rams are good.  I do not think the Rams have much control to dictate anything in this game.  But this is the kind of game where Buffalo takes the foot off the gas pedal just enough to win by 3.  But the last time I thought the Rams would be tough at home was vs Miami, and they looked horrible.  Philly just came in and dusted them, so really, Buffalo should just have their way with them.

Da Bears?  Pretty easy to pick on a team beaten to crap, Niners just look lost.  Getting 5.5 vs a beaten up team seems like a gift!  But on the other hand, Bears fans think they are so close, all those close games, just one possession or better clock management, and they win.  But let's not overlook, they avg under 15 points/game on the road.  It wasn't that long ago they scored a lousy 3 points at home vs NE?!?!  It should be ripe for the taking for Chicago.

The bears went to the playoffs twice in 3 years with Trubisky. I know people like to egg on him but Bears fans would trade this for the Mitch years in a heartbeat. The problem is the entire organization is so dysfunctional from the front office to the coaching staff. They’re on their 4th head coach now in the last 10 years and no one’s lasted more than 3 seasons.

Fields left Chicago this year and played well in the 5-6 games as a starter in Pittsburgh. It’s a death sentence to be drafted by the bears and that team is gonna be stuck in poverty for a long time with the current front office.
