...  I was watching that and the replay clearly showed every aspect of targeting was used. Launched at the head/neck area and there was no need to hit him that high at all. The fact that he twice did the "put to sleep" motion without ever looking to see if he was OK was pretty obvious he was trying to "Blow Him Up" instead of tackling him for a sack. He could have very easily hit him much lower in the chest or the gut. The whole idea of targeting is to take high hits to the head area completely out of the game. Splitting hairs shouldn't be the issue. 

... I would add he had a perfect opportunity to strip sack for a fumble as the QB was not holding the ball with two hands, which is always ideal. But he was intent on punishing the QB.

Oh wow, it’s deja vu! 😂 Except this time reversed. I’m saying 💯 targeting. Initial contact was the crown of the defender’s helmet to the Iowa St QB’s helmet/face mask. Watch the video below. Pause and go “frame by frame” starting at -1:10. Let me know what ya think. You can see the QBs helmet/head violently go back from the contact of the ASU defenders helmet

Agreed Look at Ben Johnson in Detroit with two very talented running backs and a good O line that helps Goff control the flow of the game.  The same here in DC with Brian Johnson and Ekeler.  When Johnson went down the Commanders were limited on offense—daring Daniels to distribute the ball trying to take McLaurin out of the game.  Commanders need one more O lineman and a second receiver on offense I hope they go for depth on the O line  One guy gets hurt and we are still vulnerable.  But at least we aren't the Giants
