So no line involved in that bet? Seems like a pretty easy bet to pick the Eagles straight up at home over the Panthers, regardless of the payout structure. Having said that, the dropped pass by the Panthers at the goal line saved the Eagles.

Kirk Cousins seems like a really good dude ... I just wouldn't want him QB'ing my team. Great stats ... but doesn't seem to come thru when the team needs him to make a play.

... If you watched Quarterback on Netflix it was very interesting seeing Cousins and Mahomes. When hit hard or slightly injured Cousins complained in the huddle that he was hurting. Winced and made noises indicating he was hurt. If I were an OLineman I would be tempted to slap him. As a team leader you need to keep that stuff to yourself. Mahomes was the opposite and always played down his pain or injuries, probably to a fault. I just think Mahomes is a great leader and Cousins is a poor leader. O'connell also had to calm him down on the sidelines or try and pump him up and I don't think Reed ever needed to say anything to Mahomes.

In all sports, the elite do not necessarily have the very best skills, best talent, best coaching, best teammates, best equipment...but they do have elite resilience.  Mahomes clearly has that.  And actually, maybe more QBs have that than one would think.  But Cousins?  

 

I don't think so, not when the game gets tight.

Agreed He's not a bad QB by any means. Just not a great one in a big game.  He's a perfect storm kinda guy.  All cylinders have to be firing at once. The offense has to have big weapons around him, and an opponent that doesn't have a top 5 defense.

Josh Allen is a MVP caliber QB and the Bills whole offense  Herbert is a snake in the grass.  Waiting to pounce when the Chargers finish rebuilding

Herbert was just one overthrow and/or a couple of dropped passes from winning last night.  I joked about Chargers D leaving Kelce wide open at the end, but the bottom line is any Defense that holds the opponent to 20 points or less has done their job for the game.  Had McConkey played, perhaps it would have been a different result.  Chargers can take it out on Tampa.
