Yesterday was a sad day for me as a long time NFL fan. I first started to be a NFL fan when I was a 8-9 year old kid growing up in the Detroit suburbs. I would watch Lions games on TV with my dad and uncles, I even attended 2 Lions games at the old Tiger Stadium when I was a young boy. My first favorite NFL player passed away yesterday at age 77. I had a # 11 jersey that I wore with pride.

RIP former NFL QB Greg Landry and thanks for being the first player that started my lifelong interest in professional football.  ⭐

Well the Dark Knight did not provide his fans with any college plays for this week. Oh no, I know.  Do not fear gents as I have reached out to Hickory and asked him what Black Beard's best bet is to fill in for our Dark Knight.

... That guy never played QB or he wouldn't call that a "back shoulder throw". The bottom line is Cousins, like he has many times in the past, threw into perfect coverage and got VERY lucky. To be fair, that happens all the time in the NFL but that throw could have just as easily been picked off as caught. It was a bad read and an extremely lucky throw.

... Kirk saying "against my better judgement I just drove the ball in there" is much more accurate. There can be a razors edge in the NFL and windows close quickly so there will always be contested throws that work out or don't and they can be the difference between winning and losing. Had that been picked and the Falcons lost the game this discussion would be very different. Cousins can be a gunslinger at times and that always means 50-50 throws so I wouldn't 2nd guess an NFL QB that has played at such a high level for a very long time. That said, not my kinda QB if I am a GM or HC/OC because he has thrown too many picks in stressful situations, but I certainly can't deny his ability and consider him a top 15 QB.

I'm not a fan of Mcafee, but he did do a great job of playing to the Cal crowd.  I went to a different UC college while my best friend went to Cal.  The best time I ever had in college was when I attended a Cal-USC football game at Memorial Stadium in Berkeley.  I quickly learned that Bear Territory chant, the "Roll on you Bears" chant and, best of all, the "It's the only song you know, it's boring and it's slow, we really wish you'd go" lyrics sung every time the USC band would play "Tribute to Troy" (which was about every 60 seconds).

@imkirby34    That is exactly my feelings also...I don't think he's at all genuine but more of a "professional wrestler" type.  But, to his credit, he's made a ton of bank in a short time and can fire up a live crowd!!
