This year we gave out a Stitch carry-on bag and toiletry bag. Not a huge quantity of items but two really nice pieces that’ll get lots of use. I was pleased as was my guest. 👍🏼

Mine this year was a Stitch MIY SL2 bag that most folks really liked - bags were ordered at the party on Day 1 and delivered a few weeks later.  The year before was a Wedgeworks Vokey where you sent in your specs before the tourney and the wedges were there on Day 1.

Do you ever have random guests from the internet that you've never met before....not asking for a friend lol.

 

Our member member this year had Jones A2 backpacks with the event logo on it and a custom leather scorecard holder. The Jones bag is surprisingly nice, perfect carry on size for travel.

All I get from my local muni is increasingly higher greens fees and a weekly kick in the cajones. 

 

I've gotta find a better place to play, apparently.

We usually approach it a couple of different ways, one year it is a daily something (smaller gift each day) and other years its a big one.

 

This past year we had Travis Mathew on site and we could pick out up to $X worth of merchandise.

The year before was a hoodie, leather headcover, and a ball marker.

The year before was a customized Sun Mountain glider travel bag.

The year before was belt, yeti-type cup, and some other thing that lives in my garage.

 

So you get the idea, because most of the members will play year after year it has to change, but the players seem to appreciate the variety.  In the tournament fees we ascribe $X for the tee gift(s) per player and the pro finds nice things at the PGA show as well.

The events I have been to the retail value of the "good" item is ~$250.

• Hybrid
• 2 wedges
• 2 or 3 soft good items from Titleist, Peter Millar, Straight Down
• Putter
• Luggage
• FJ shoes and umbrella

Sometimes we get to pick from a catalog before the event and it is on our carts

Sometimes there are folks there with little booths

 

I have been in enough of these at this point to not want more logo stuff.  I try to play in mine every year and my partner invites me to him.  At one point I had more logo stuff from my friend's club than my own.  It was silly.

 

Last year I had the option of a pretty nice Links and Kings leather duffel with logo.  I actually asked them to NOT logo the bag and they were able to accommodate.  It was great.  One year I did not select in time and I ended up with a ~$250 gift card to Peter Millar that I could use online or at their retail store.  That was not a bad way to go either.
