So Ebay seller Reidman12 lists a White Hot XG #9 with a Black Oxide Service finish under auction numbers

I currently have one listed and they directly copy my pictures from from item: 170202679552 which started on March 17th. They list thiers on March 19th under buy it now.

 

I have sent Ebay fraud an email that is listed below is there anything else I can do?

 

REIDMAN12, HAS COPIED SEVEAL OF MY PICTURES FROM MY CURRENT

AUCTION 170202679552 OVER THE LAST FEW DAYS TO LIST A SIMILAR PUTTER UNDER BUY

IT NOW. WHICH I BELIEVE IS HURTING THE BIDDING OR SELLING OF MY ITEM.

looks like a hacked account, keep reporting to ebay it usually takes a couple days

All you can do is let Ebay handle it.

 

They will pull the auction and send him a warning, but it looks like he has already made his money.

Looks like he took pictures from a couple different people.

Check out color of woodgrain on the table, its different in both pictures, so he has obviously jacked pictures from someone else too.

 

 

Look at his listing too, He says has about 10 rounds of use on it then contradicts himself by saying that it has never seen the elements outside.

Thanks guys, another wrxer gave me a great idea of contacting the buyers of the two closed auctions and inform them of the jacked pictures and really inspect what they bought since the pictures listed in the auction are not of the actual item. It is amazing what Golfwrx can pull up when you post an idea. Thanks again.

Interesting what you find when you search yourself sometimes!!

I actually remember doing this....using someone else's pictures to sell my BOS putters. Didn't know it was against the rules...but the items for sale were really mine and legit.

So Mr. Robhatter....hope you will accept my apology 7 years later for any wrong doing.

I write very effective ad copy for my Ebay sales.

I've had complete auctions plagiarized. Ebay could not give less of a crap.

I understand you feel violated, but like Tony Soprano used to say, "What ya gonna do?".

Did your item sell? If so, game over. Move on.

This is too funny. A 7.5 year old apology. I don't know how you couldn't have known you can't use someone elses pics for your items, but whatever.

I hope this isn't step 9 of the AA program and you really were just searching yourself.

True story from back in 1999 when I was a PowerSeller on eBay.

Back then you could host your own images and I did on my own website. I was selling mostly software and games and there was competition.

A friend of mine alerted me that one of my competitors was using my ad image in his ad. He was even using my link on my website which meant it was burning my BW!

So I uploaded another image that had my logo on it with a new link going to it. And then I changed the links in my ads. Finally I changed the old image to a pornographic image involving a really large woman. I then reported him to eBay - and they acted on it instantly.

Funny thing - he contacted me threatening to sue me for changing his ad content. I never even bothered to reply.

The other funny thing was that back then eBay would issue a warning and if you were a repeat offender they would pull all of your ads. He proceeded to report my ad for having a Copyrighted image on it. They pulled it and I had to call the PS number. "Sir, you were using a Copyrighted image against eBay policy." When I told her to check the CR and the name of my business they put my ads back up. And deleted him for making a false report.

I have to admit I almost fell out of my chair after I had uploaded that image onto my server and then went in, reloaded his ad, and saw that image on there. Let's just say he lost some sales.....

I got scammed on ebay once back in the early 2000s. Figured out the guy was running the same ad under multiple sellerid's. I went through each one, contacted everyone else who had been scammed by him and got a list of around 25 people.

Finally found that he actually bougt a pair of air jordans under one of his id's, put the seller in touch with the police, and she gave them his name, address, etc. turned out to be a big deal, they charged him with 25 counts of interstate wire fraud or something along those lines.
