No breaches have been detected but we are looking/monitoring since the beginning.  If you have a darkweb scan service, I would check it/use googles.

 

Password resets were sent to members who have not logged in for the last 90 days.  Its unclear how those with remember me are triggered.  We have responsed both ways.

 

Paypal goods and services and other guaranteed payments should be the only way to pay.

Anyone have any history with resolution from PayPal in this type of scenario? They say they have been in contact with the person that set up the account, not sure that someone committing fraud will  happily respond… not sure how long this may take.

Follow up - I awoke this morning to a PayPal message saying Simone Locatelli had replied to my claim by offering me half of my money back! So kind! So righteous!

 

I declined, and Paypal immediately closed the case in my favor and refunded my money.

Just to be clear, you bought some iron heads, he didn't ship anything, no tracking or any other shipping "info", and he offered you HALF your money back to settle the PP dispute ?

EXACTLY!! I resisted the urge to reply Go F Yourself!!! 

 

I can only surmise that the scammers play a numbers game. Hope some guys pay F&F by mistake. Hope some guys won’t file a claim. Hope some guys forget about the claim. Hope some guys accept an offer for less. 

 

I don’t see any way PayPal doesn’t find for the buyer otherwise. You bought something and didn’t get it….that’s pretty easy right?

Same thing for me, offered $500 return for my $700 paid.  I not so politely declined... Hoping PayPal does the same for me as they did for @LPSISCO.  The story Simone told was entertaining.  That is the PayPal they used.  Some story about Daniele owing money, and this random PayPal from some guy was repayment.  🐂 💩 ...

Same, 10 minutes after they let me escalate I had a notice saying they were ruling in my favor.

I may be in the process of being scammed by someone.  I will report it as soon as it is certain.  I don't want to waste any of the mods time if he actually comes through and ships, but I've got everything documented.  Tons of red flags that the seller had decent answers for, so at this point I was willing to pay just to see how I was going to get f'ed.
