New Ping Moonlander Stand Bag Sighting! With pics

If so, I’m all over that. This bag seems perfect for walking and good enough to use when I ride. 

March 17th according to justsaygolf.com.  It's not that it disappeared, it hasn't been available for purchase yet as it was always going to be a March release based on what I've read.

I just got back from a golf trip in Vegas, and we had some time to kill before our flight home, so we hit up the PGA Superstore. This Ping Moonlander will definitely be my next bag, it looked and felt just perfect. I have a Hoofer Lite from about 4 years ago that is still going strong, so I don't have a need for a new bag just yet... but when the time comes, this will be it for sure. Perfect to carry, fits in a push cart, and in the power cart when need be. All they had were the all black ones, so maybe there will be some different color options by the time I need one. Granted, I am a full on Ping guy, I don't even look at other brands. I have had maybe 4 Ping bags that have lasted me over 30 years total, so I just don't even look at other brands anymore. This new Moonlander will be perfect for me I think.

My wife stole my Moonlander.  So now I get the pleasure of purchasing another.   I was just looking at your signature...all ping expect the Putter?? They are the best.  But whatever makes them go in the hole is alright with me.

Yep, all Ping except the putter and an old hybrid that I can't seem to get rid of also! Ping has always been good to lefties, so I have some loyalty there haha.

Initially got a Moonlander as a range bag, but I carried it once on course and was hooked! This is my first Ping carry bag. Balances incredibly well, whether using one strap or two. Just enough pockets, and the glove patch is a great feature. Feels very sturdy and durable. Was worried about club tangle at first but has not been a problem. I carry 11-13 clubs, and my putter is a 41” armlock with a Jumbomax 17 grip.
 

Only wish is to have a second “O” ring since the one gets crowded with rangefinder, small brush, and Club Scrub.

Similar situation here ... Hoofer Lite still in great shape, don't need a new bag, but eyeing the Moonlander nonetheless.  I carry the vast majority of rounds.  Is the Moonlander noticeably lighter when carrying with clubs?

I’m aiming to walk more this summer (a little one has been added to the mix, so early 9s before work are going to be the bulk of my golf) and while my Titleist bag pictured below is my favorite bag I’ve ever owned, it’s a big cumbersome for regular walking duty. Enter the Moonlander. It’s a tiny bit crowded with 14 clubs but certainly not a deal breaker.

Ordered one from Carl's and finally in hand.  This thing is really nice and seems no issue with 14 clubs and std grips.  I am curious to see how it feels with my midsized grips once I get my new irons.  Also have a SM E-3.5 on the way to compare...

I enjoyed this bag so much that I got a second one during my local shops Masters sale. I converted this second one to the single strap and will give it a go. My gamer bag is the all black version, this new one is the white/grey/blue. I am a little worried it'll get extremely dirty, but it was too good of a deal to pass up on.

@belh22 Club tangle is very minimal. I carry my full set which includes Plus 4 standard size grips, and a 17" Superstroke. I do tend to stand the bag vertical to slide them in and out, but I absolutely hate club tangle, and this bag works great.

 

Top divider: Driver, Mini Driver, 5 Wood, Putter (Superstroke 17" 3.0)

Middle Left: H, 5i, 6i

Middle Right: 7i, 8i, 9i

Bottom: PW, AW, SW, LW

Bag is perfect. Maybe a touch heavier than the SM 2.5 I had for a week before they released this bad boy, but it’s just the L8 replacement I was looking for. Feels like the straps are back to being proper Ping feeling straps, too.

Have had it for almost 3 months - still a huge fan of it. I was all in on the push cart and initially bought this bag to take to the range and maybe carry some. I almost exclusively carry now. 

Bag is very light and sturdy, legs don't slip or get in the way. Balances very well with two or one strap. I use midsize MCC+4 and have a 17" Jumbomax putter grip. 12 clubs is my max for comfort - but you could make 14 happen. I wish it had a second loop to hang items on, but that is picky. Has just the right amount of pockets. Have been impressed with how clean/durable it has stayed. Rain cover does the job when called.

Finally got to the golf galaxy and saw these in person. They’re a great looking bag for sure but the 4.5 pounds listed is definitely accurate. It looks minimalist but I guess they opted the design to be more sturdier, which is fine. But I don’t think this replaces the discontinued Crazelite and hopefully they come up with an ultralight model since it’s a hoofer lite with less pockets and a more minimal look.

I just bought a Titleist Players 4 Carbon and it’s every bit as light as my SM 2.5 that it replaced.

I've had mine a little while now and it's a good bag just like you'd expect from PING. With that being said, like others have stated, tangle is an issue even though I only carry 9-10 clubs (midsize grips). However, it's mitigated pretty well by standing the bag upright. With that being said I'm having a bit of buyers remorse. I wish I held out for the next Jones sale (which is going on now) and got the Rover instead.

I still have mine, but will be putting it up in the BST soon. I ended up carrying it for about two weeks, and then switched back to my CEL one weekend because I needed the full length pocket, and I've not gone back. 

 

The CEL is just so good. Absolutely no knock to the ML because it's a great bag, I just feel more comfortable in the CEL.

I was looking at this as a super lightweight option similar to a SM 2.5 and the likes, but found it too heavy. Ended up getting mint CEL from eBay and absolutely love it so far. The moonlander looks great, but just didn’t fit what I was looking for functionally.

Out of curiosity, how is your bag wearing without the hip padding? Are you seeing abrasion marks that are noticeable? 

I bought the same one and in 2+ months of walking, feel like it is wearing way more than it should. 

 

But maybe I am just being too nitpicky.
