Wilson Dynapower head weights?

I'm looking for headweights for a Wilson Dynapower Carbon. They are available on their fitting cart, but I can't seem to find them for sale anywhere. Have tried the usual, Golf works, Billy Bobs, ebay, but no luck. Anyone know how I could get a couple?

In all the threads where this has come up the response was that getting them direct from Wilson was the only option. You should be able to call/email their customer service to inquire or have a shop that has a relationship with them do so.

I tried contacting Wilson directly, and they said the only way to get them was via a retailer with a fitting cart. Seems like a bit of a slight from a company that's trying to gain ground. Not bitter about it, but would not likely buy another Wilson driver.

Wierd, especially as their carts aren't a staple even at bigger locations. I'd try having a retailer that carries the clubs make contact for you as they should have the line to the custom fitting team rather than a frontline service rep who gives canned answers. Any PGASS or Worldwide Golf affiliate should be able to get them for you. 

 

You're not wrong about it being an issue. One of many Wilson has right now that make everyone who likes them wonder what the hell goes on behind the scenes.

Unfortunately, I'm in Canada, and have to rely on Golftown as the only major golf retailer. Don't want to sound entitled, but I really felt Wilson should have dropped a couple of weights in the mail to me for nothing in appreciation of brand loyalty. Esp. since they continue to struggle for market share.

Agreed. I can't imagine it's difficult for them to comp some weights and send them out. Certainly easy enough to add them on with a shipment already going to a retail partner.

 

I do see Golftown carries Wilson so I'd imagine they can get the weights for you. Have you tried giving them a call?

Yes, actually went into the store to inquire. Sales rep admitted that they had a Wilson fitting cart, but said I would have to contact Wilson to get any head weights. 

As mentioned, I'm pretty loyal to Wilson and would certainly buy another set of irons, but will avoid Wilson drivers and fairways going forward.

Any luck with new weights for the new Dynapwr Carbon?  I want a 6g weight to replace the 3g.  6g comes stock on the LS version.  Spoke with Wilson directly and was told they do not sell weights individually.

As mentioned previously, exactly what they told me. I sort of swore off Wilson woods after that, but the new line looks so good, that I'll likely continue my loyalty.

They have so much potential, but seem to lack basic customer wants such as minor customization to swing weights.  Even Tour Edge has weights to purchase.

Couldn't agree more. Wilson should be going the extra mile if they're going to try to compete with the big four. WIlson's costumer service should be well ahead of Callaway/TM but sadly it isn't.

May want to reach out to them on one of their social pages and say just that. You love the product but it's frustrating that they offer weight options yet nowhere to purchase them.

@launcher @MrVanillaGorilla per the recent Wilson fitting adventure thread, word from one of the Wilson staff members is the weights for the new heads will be available to order via the website soon.

I will add however….go buy weights and adapters for the Titleist GT drivers…real ones not aftermarket.  Doubt you can find them and are not on the Titleist site that I could find.  Callaway same thing. Taylormade they are readily available. Ping has weights for the 430 series but not the new 440 series and no adapters for sale. The idea that Wilson “must” sell these to compete is false. Go to a site like Billy Bobs golf and if all they have is aftermarket weights and adapters you’ll know the OE manufacturer does not sell them.

I get what you’re saying but Wilson could really help themselves out by offering them. Titleist doesn’t care to but also doesn’t need to because quality aftermarket weights are readily available. Same with the other big OEMs. Srixon on the other hand which is in a similar competitive position with their metal woods does offer their weights direct on their site and at a very reasonable price.

No news is good news so far.  I sent the link to the Srixon weights so they could see the kit option.  So far I cannot tell you how to order them but have a promise they will be available soon.

 

For now I guess it’s either lead tape or….call and ask.  If you go the call route I would suggest doing the lead tape route first so you have a good idea of desired weight. Although with the front and back weight system that could be difficult.
