Would you buy a Linkslegend bag again?

100%. Club tangle would be my only gripe but it’s nowhere close to a big enough problem that would ever deter me. Best looking bag on the market IMO, have 2 and will likely add more.

Just looked at them again this past weekend. The top is even smaller/tighter than my StaDry. And so much heavier (there’s so much metal adorning the bag — it just doesn’t make sense). It’s a shame, but I can’t justify it at all.

Same.  I want one but won’t buy it in its current form.  It would be nice if Titleist rolled out some larger versions of the same bag, maybe a mid size stand bag and a cart or small staff bag, similar to what Vessel has.

They look really nice but are too heavy for me to carry and too small to work well on a cart.

Agreed. It's a shame, but some of the things that make it a great LOOKING bag just kill the utility of it for me.

I'd be perfectly happy if it had all plastic hardware on it. All the metal (and substantial metal at that) clasps and buckles and whatnot just makes the bag heavier than necessary. And the heavy padding on the dividers just adds weight and makes the openings for clubs even tighter.

My buddies who have and like the bag do NOT carry theirs. In fact, one buddy has said about the weight and club tangle and whatnot, "Hey, that's the caddie's problem." I don't think that way -- and my next bag, like my current bag, will equally split carry-duty between caddies and me (with some very occasional cart duty).

If they made the Players 5 with the faux leather of the LL, that could be a real winner.

Stopped by my local golf store this morning to pick up some stuff and spent some time looking through their very large bag collection.  Noticed a few things in no particular order.

Shocking how heavy the LL is compared to a similarly sized Players 4.  A LinksLegend version of the Players 5 or the Hybrid 5/14 bags would be a winner, IMO.

Upon closer inspection, while I still think the Kradul bags are a step down from the Vessel, they still look pretty decent and even more tightly stitched than the Vessels.

Saw similar fleather bags from Ogio and others, all at that $380+ price point.  Really seems like the market is getting saturated with these expensive fake leather bags.

The absolute best bag I saw in that store was a white Vessel staff bag, the Prime Mini Staff.  Geez that thing is epically nice and classy, and feels much higher quality than their cart bags.  I compared their staff and cart bags side-by-side and the material, construction, stitching, everything just seemed on another level on the staff bag.  Sadly it looks too deep to work on a golf cart.  Funny thing is that it feels barely heavier than my Player V, even though the website says it’s over 9 lbs. with the strap.  Overall though, excluding that staff bag, I have to say that Vessel impresses me less and less every time I check out their bags.

Funny thing happened today.  I was in our pro shop looking around and they still have 4-5 Links Legend bags sitting unsold, one of which is the navy blue, which is an epically beautiful bag.  The fleather on that bag is so good, as is all the componentry, I felt the siren song to buy one.

I was chatting with our merchandise person and giving the bag another once over, checking the legs, the zippers, etc.  The zippers still too tight for me, but I figure I can lubricate those and maybe fix that.  The legs on this bag were actually extending decently and the bag was solid on the legs.  So then it was on to the club tangle test, given the square top setup is another issue that causes tangle.  I go over to the club bin and load the bag up with 13 clubs and a putter.  I lean the bag over to check club tangle on the legs and…the legs don’t extend more than a few inches and the bag falls right over.  I pick it up and do it again, putting a little downward pressure and…the legs don’t extend properly and the bag falls over.  I laugh, along with our pros, and put the bag back where I found it.

Have had the bag 2 years. Club tangle is definitely an issue but never experienced it anywhere close to that degree. Be interesting to watch what you are doing to make sure I don’t accidentally do the same one day.

This issue I had yesterday wasn’t club tangle, though I definitely experienced that when I borrowed our pro’s bag to test it a while back.  The problem I had yesterday is the primary reason that I won’t buy one.  There is a problem with the design of the Links Legend where, with a full bag, the legs do not extend properly when you set the bag down and lean it on its legs.  You have to either press down hard or kick the bag out with your legs every time or the bag is prone to falling over.  Our pro knows about it and has discussed it with our Titleist rep.

When I tested his bag, it fell over repeatedly on me.  I’ve also asked this question of every person I’ve seen with a Links Legend and they all agreed that the legs are awful.  But the bag is so beautiful, people put up with it.  My pro has all the issues I mention with his bag, but he still loves it because it is so good looking.  I like a good looking bag, but function is most important to me.  The Players 4 Carbon is just a way better bag than the LL.

Titleist needs to fix the legs and either enlarge the top or angle the sections like they do on the Player 4.  And geez, put some zippers on that thing that are actually easy to open and close with one hand.  That’s one of the few things that Vessel has over the LL in spades.

Never had the bag fall over once in a couple of years, I mostly carry 10 clubs though to keep it nice and light. I used to use the carbon and have never really noticed the extra weight. Mine is in grey, but I’d pick up navy in a heartbeat.

I do have a Europe only titleist stadry tour bag for any winter push cart golf and vessel lux cart for summer competition rounds on an electric push cart, but all practise and casual golf I carry the linkslegend.

I notice the weight between a Players 4 and a Players 4 Carbon, and that’s only about a half pound difference.  The LL feels way heavier to me.  My Vessel Player V felt like strapping a cart bag on my back.

The liner in the middle section for my irons has torn out of mine. It gets caught on the grips and Ive been getting threads pulling out for a while. I sent pictures to my pro and he is contacting the Titleist rep for me. Anyone else have this issue or did I just get a dud? Hoping they will warranty. I love the bag except for the club tangle. I don't carry but use a push cart so its not bad for me.

Funny, when I tested my pros bag I suspected that part of the club tangle reason with that bag was the liners.  It felt to me that they were too loose or the fabric was too grippy, and so rather than being firm and guiding the club down, the club kinda caught in them.

This happened in my StaDry bag, too. When I started to pull the liner/dividers/guides out when trying to get clubs out, I took scissors to it and cut out as much of the liner as I could. Like @Par4Nate said, I've always wondered if the liners are the wrong material, and/or whether any kind of full-length divider is actually helpful (or only promotes tangle).

I don’t notice clubs gripping the liners at all in my Players 4 Carbon bag though.  I wonder if it’s different material or different tightness.  Then again, the Players 4 has the angled top sections, which I think diminishes club tangle a bit relative to the square tops like the LL.

I have a Linkslegend, its a great bag. Its not that heavy and well balanced which i think is the key when carrying.

The issues with the snagging, and the legs, lie at the bottom of the bag. When you put it down the bottom of the bag becomes a lot smaller, due to the bag base "retracting". As someone mentioned if you put a club in, or out, when it is upright then i havent had any issues with snagging, that i havent had with other bags. In fairness, i carry 13 clubs, but all have midsize grips and Lab press putter grip. I think its a lovely bag.

I had a Titleist four way before I got this links legend and there were club tangle issues with that as well. I think my general conclusion is that it’s simply like a lot of things in life. It’s give and it’s take. I don’t play many rounds of golf anymore, but I try to hit the practice facility once a week. When I do play I ride. The give and the take is that having a bigger stand bag would be OK when I actually play rounds of golf because I ride, but I do like to have a smaller carry bag for the practice facility or when I walk a par three course.

Who was that rock band group with a big mouth and a tongue that sang a song about not always getting what you want? I guess I just need to try sometimes and I might find that I get what I need! I still don’t like the club tangle though 🤷🏻‍♂️😂

Yes I would! Honestly, it’s the classiest looking bag out there. I have the two toned grey and white bag, and it’s just downright awesome.

The legs and stand system do however suck, but I mostly ride, so it’s no big deal to me. Also, there is a metal clip that can be purchased on eBay that helps keeps the legs from sagging. Regardless of that, the linkslegend I have seems super durable and it cleans off nicely. I don’t have many issues with club tangle either, as many people mention they have.

As much as I do also like Vessel bags, I feel like they seem tacky with the blingy metal logo above the handle, and they’re just too big and heavy, and way too many hooks and clips. I like that the linkslegend is just clean, and simple, and brings a sense of class.

Second time I’ve bought one and sold it within 2 weeks. It’s beautiful and I enjoy the quality. But it’s so tight, my putter grip looks awful after two rounds and it’s brand new. Just because it’s so tight to pull it in / out.

I use midsize grips and superstroke.

I just went to all midsize grips in addition to my SuperStroke. I love the looks of the bag; but, knowing it's too tight, I'm not even tempted anymore.

One of the guys in my regular foursome bought one of these a while back.  Beautiful bag but he has so much difficulty getting his clubs in and out that I’ve never been tempted to buy one. I do think it’s one of the best looking bags on the market, but I just can’t deal with any club tangle at all.  Drives me nuts.

I recently found out Callaway bought oggio. I tried the fairway c hd bag and I’m very impressed by how much space there is for the clubs. Not as good looking but definitely check it out.
