SC4 Pro tested? Anyone?

A lot of what you say makes sense.  
 

I’ve probably have had mine too long for a return. Besides i got it at PUD so it was only $290.  For that amount i can live with it and hold out hopes some softeare updates are pushed out. 
 

I don’t have to have spin.  But having spin that far off makes the carry distance on driver useless.  i am not very long, but i know i carry it further than 150-160 yards.  Hq

For $290 and no subscription fee...I could probably convince myself to keep the unit (would not buy one at that price) and only use this as a club/ball speed and total distance measurement tool.  I was not getting whacky backspin readings that would cause my numbers to be shorter.  If anything I think the unit inflated some of my yardages.  My issue was more around launch direction on clubs hit over 200 yards.

I purchased the SC4 last year.  Previously owned, and used the SC200 and SC300i.  Really like the SC4, as it is very accurate, and a great improvement over the 300i.  A completely different design, and have been waiting for a few months for the next software 'UPDATE', which should improve on accuracy and maybe ADD a few more features.

But now...AND THIS REALLY PISSES ME OFF, the 'NEW' software update never happened, instead the tech dept. created a completely, supposedly 'NEW', SC4 PRO !!!  AND THE SC4 PRO app is not compatible with the SC4 unit.

It will open with my account, but will not connect to the SC4.

TOTAL bullxxxx !!!

AND THE ADDITIONAL FEATURES ON THE SC4 PRO ARE ALL LOGRITHMIC SOFTWARE UPGRADES.  THE HARDWARE ON THE SC4 AND PRO UNITS ARE IDENTICAL, EXCEPT THE OBVIOUS SOFTWARE 'UPDATE'.   

ADDING A FEW FEATURES WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN A 'GREAT', LONG AWAITED 'UPDATE' WOULD HAVE BEEN MUCH MORE APPROPRIATE !!!

SO THIS SC4 PRO IS NOT A SOFTWARE 'UPDATE', INSTEAD SWING CADDIE THROWS ALL OF THEIR 'GOOD' CUSTOMERS UNDER THE BUS, IGNORING ALL SC4 USERS !!!

WHY DOESN'T SWING CADDIE SIMPLY ALLOW 'ALL' SC4 OWNERS TO 'UPDATE' ??? 

THIS IS HORRIBLE MARKETING STRATEGY, AND I HOPE ALL THAT READ THIS REVIEW LOOK AT THE GARMIN, OR OTHER MONITORS ON THE MARKET.

SWING CADDIE WILL NEVER GET MY BLESSING, UNTIL, AND ONLY THEN, WHEN THEY CORRECT THIS SC4 / SC4 PRO COMPATIBILITY ISSUE WILL I GIVE THEM HIGH MARKS !!!

FOR NOW...THEY 'SUCK' !!!

Having used the SC4 for the last nine months, and waited for a 'current' software upgrade / update, VC/SC has really been a disappointment.  

VC/SC has decided to throw 'ALL' the SC4 customers under the bus by not providing a software update. Instead choosing to 'upgrade' to a 'supposedly' NEW model, utilizing the same SC4 hardware, and upgrading the 'algorithmic' software, and bring out the 'NEW' SC4 PRO...HELLO !!!

A much better marketing approach would have been to integrate the 'software update' for ALL SC4 customers, as well as new buyers of the SC4 (forgetting about the SC4 PRO model).  This would have kept the 'original' purchasers happy, as well as improving on the SC4 !!!

Shame on VC/SC...HORRIBLE MARKETING !!!

We get it you're upset.  You don't have to keep making the same post over and over.   They are not the first or only company to release a new product that made the previous one outdated.  And they won't be the last.

The problem w/ Voice Caddie SC4 PRO is that it's NOT a new product, IGNORING all SC4 users by not 'updating' the SC4 software.  INSTEAD, The PRO 'IS' THE SC4 SOFTWARE 'UPDATE', YET NOT COMPATIBLE W/ THE SC4 MONITOR !!!

IF I BUY ANOTHER MONITOR, IT WON'T BE A VOICE CADDIE !!!

After using this now for 4 months.Can safely say this launch monitor is Hot Garbage.Setting up the thing to get even remotely accurate numbers is darn near impossible.Dont think voice caddie was ready to introduce spin and launch angle for the Sc4 and Sc4 pro.Im sure the 2026 model will address this issue.Until than.Im putting mine back in the closet

Wow...Swing Caddie (VC/SC) just announced an 'update' to the SC4 on 6/13 !!!  What's sooo bad is, there's not one added feature or 'upgrade' to the existing SC4 'firmware' !!!  It's 'exactly  the 'same ol' already 'outdated' monitor.  You'd think the marketing/engineers at VC would give previous SC4 users a 'BONE' !!!
