New Bushnell rangefinder for 2025?

What software/database is it using to compute the front/middle/back numbers? Similar to the previous question, how accurate are these F/M/B numbers?

 

Does the rangefinder do a good job between differentiating shooting a pin vs shooting a bunker or a tree? What does the rangefinder display if you shoot a bunker or tree?

Also, if you can’t see the flag, can you still get front middle back numbers displayed?

I just came here to ask the same question. Also, do Bushnell's have the capability to do ball to pin? Like where you are cart path only - you shoot the ball first then shoot the pin and it gives you distance? I saw some rangefinders can do that.

Mine should be arriving this week. Will be testing it on course side by side with my garmin s70. 
 

From what’s I’ve read, the unit uses GPS to calculate the F/M/B numbers.

From the reviews I’ve seen, the unit using GPS will show F/M/B even if the pin is not in sight. Pretty nice feature.

The GPS is similarly accurate – always within a yard of other GPS devices and course markings.  Where the GPS elevates itself is with slope adjustments.  If the slope compensation is turned on, it works for not just the laser but the GPS, too.

 

So GPS F/M/B numbers are also adjusted for slope.

Thanks. Thats helpful. I'm debating this one versus others like the Z30 or Titan Elite that (I believe) can display GPS. It seems (unless I'm wrong) that most other ones depend on your phone for the GPS distance so you have to have it with you whereas the Bushnell does not. I think voiceaddie SL3 may also have independent gps.

I’ve used mine for a few rounds and the laser distance has been super quick and responsive. GPS on the other hand hasn’t been the best. I’m not sure how it reads front middle back but it was quite a bit off more than a few times compared to what shows on the golf carts at my course. There was even one instance where the pin number was shorter than the Front of green on the gps

Have used mine for 2 rounds now and the F/M/B yardages were spot on with my S70 watch.

Are you certain the unit was on the correct hole? I suspect if holes are close together, the unit GPS could switch holes.

You don’t want the Titan Elite, I had it and returned it.  If you primarily ride in a cart, it makes no sense for you to get a  rangefinder that calculates F/M/B from the phone.  When your playing partner drops you off to hit your ball and goes back to his with your phone in the cart, the laser is what you’re stuck with.  Precision Pro doesn’t make that obvious for a reason.    🤷‍♂️

I have been using the Tour Hybrid for over 50+ rounds approximately with GPS on using one new CR123.

Bushnell quotes 30 rounds per battery. I’ve had mine since release in early April and play 5x/week. I’m currently sitting around 30% on my second battery, so their estimate tracks. Not ideal, but the batteries are cheap on Amazon lol

I had a titan elite which I lost (great rangefinder imo)

I just got the bushnell tour hybrid and played 2 rounds with it - was not getting accurate F/M/B yardages compared to the app on my iphone - flag lock is slower compared to the titan elite. 

 

I'm going to return the tour hybrid, was expensive and I mainly got it for GPS and i do not think it is that accurate in that regard.  I still have not found a great rangefinder with GPS, i've tried the Garmin Z30, Titan Elite (both reliant on phone) and now the Bushnell Tour Hybrid. 

 

Back in the market now, I want to try the voicecaddie SL3 but do not like the fact it does not have a built in magnet to attach to cart + possible poor battery life.
