Got to admit, after something of a self enforced break from watching golf on TV, I enjoyed the golf that I watched last night. In all seriousness of course, it is a hit and giggle, something of a soft opening for the 2025 season but nonetheless some of the golf was great and I was able to live vicariously and forget about it being 39F with 50mph gusts of wind and pouring rain outside.

 

Looking forward to JT and Cam Young in the final group tonight. Interested to see how chip on his shoulder JT gets on this season.

I haven’t paid much attention to pro golf for a bit, is the Tom Kim hate related to his behavior at the Presidents Cup?  Or is there something more?  He seemed like a nice/fun guy on Full Swing.

I’m a TK fan. He’s been a breath of fresh air since he came on Tour.  Yes the Prez Cup antics seemed to have made an impact on some folks.

Well said. Excited too see them teeing it up after a break.

 

Also excited to start drawing conclusions on how the season will go for everyone based on four rounds of golf.

I watched a bit of the telecast - like watching paint dry - No cut small fields just don't have the storylines that make sports interesting - I'd rather watch the Champ Tour qualifying rounds JMHO

For sure.  Hero are inexpensive, low power, low performance motorcycles targeted primarily at the Indian and other Asian markets.  Think brightly colored basic transportation, not real motorcycles like you see here in the U.S. and Europe.

No one in the US needs over 50 hp.  As a guy who’s traveled extensively on a bike and commuted most of the year too, I’d be quite happy on a 400cc bike. 
 

It’s funny, I mentioned to the wife that I’d ride them yesterday, but frankly, the morons with cell phones in cars are wannabe killers.

 

And also contrarily, i’m liking the return of consistently high performers on the tv again. The newbs and journeymen are fine for the fall silly season, but…

Pffttt, Unless it was a two stroke, 400cc wouldn’t work for me.  Moto life starts at 100hp IMO.

So, how many times today will we hear about Scottie now using the "saw" grip in putting?  Once in a while they'll say "claw" grip. Is there a difference, do we care?  Jeez....give us a break!

1200cc Triumph Daytona in St John’s, NB. BTDT too. Two smokes are more fun.  Only bike I have left is my ‘90 Suzuki DR350.

 

Used to take my Gold Wing to the course with the clubs strapped on the back seat.  🙂

The problem with small bikes like those Hero’s isn’t just the fact that they have all the power of a large lawnmower, it’s that the chassis’ are just so flimsy.  The frames and suspensions flex like licorice whips with a full size male adult on them.  I spent 40 years on bikes, 20 on the track, and good suspension and brakes were my first two requirements.

 

Off road bikes are an entirely different story obviously.

I like to mute the telecast and play some music in the background.  Sometimes if things time up just right  it’s like a golfer has walk up music as they walk up to tee off.  Just this week I was treated to Patrick Cantley walking up to pump up the jam.
