Random because most OEM require/request the media and staffers to not even disclose the actual dates, as they want the excitement to build.

And not as random as it might appear.   Most OEMs prefer their announcements stand alone and not have to share the day with others'.

Exactly which is why you see many of them spread out through the whole month of January.  Not that long ago, most introduced the product during the PGA Show week.  But with a dozen or more companies all launching product that week, only the biggest and loudest got the most attention.

Isn't the PGA show a thing of the past at this point?  It's become a goofy spectacle for outlandish gear and clothing along with crazy a** gimmicks.  I guess that stuff has always been there, but in recent years it seems like it is all over the place.  Also, in the last few or so years, many OEMs sit it out entirely.  I've never been, but the pics that are posted are for the most part forgettable to me.

It is still a "thing" just how big of thing is the question.  Honestly, I haven't been since 2020, right before COVID.  Companies have altered how they attend as well.  Yes, some big ones sitting out TaylorMade for example and Mizuno if you consider them big.   Some of the other companies don't send all their Reps just enough to handle showing the product.    Titleist might be one of the few that still does it 100% they have all their reps, still take up one complete Endzone of the Convention Center.   It is a good chance to see some of the smaller and tech companies, like the LM companies that don't have reps to come around and visit.   Golf Cart Fleets, etc.

For consumer golf equipment that may be true but there's plenty of stuff golf related of interest to PGA members.   Just consider the stuff associated with running or maintaining a course.

Good Point, those are the main reasons my local club builder at the local muni goes with his crew from the course to scope out equipment and so forth to up keep their course and the range which is a pretty nice one at that.

At my local PGSS today and asked the GM about release and order dates.  He showed me his sheet said Jan 13th they can order.  Just passing on what they told/showed me.

Does anyone here know if Srixon is going to releasing a new Utility Iron this year to update the ZX MKII?  I’m looking for something to put in the bag and the 4 iron at 23 degrees could be my magic ticket. Thanks.

I was at PGA SS in Naples yesterday and they acutally had these on display.

 

There is 0 physical difference between MKII and these.  I compared them side by side.

 

They let me hit the ZX7I.  Looked great at address but didn't feel amazing.  Probably the Tape lol.  I'd have to hit these again before i order blind like I planned originally.

They have been fully released in Australia for a few weeks now. I own a set already. Been very happy with them

I'm preparing myself for a possible slight disappointment...........I was checking out the Dunlop sight in Australia and found that they did not have the Axiom 75's on their custom shaft chart.  My fingers are crossed for their US debut.

Also thinking about a Zxi5/ZXi7 combo set with Axiom 75s. What sort of flight do you get out of the MKIIs with those and what's your 7 iron swing speed roughly? Thanks.

I got my swing speed to jump 3-4mph through some stretching/muscle building and switching to the Axiom 75's.   I'm getting close to 80mph with my 7-iron MKII.  Mostly a mid penetrating ball flight
