When I think of increasing levels of offset, I think draw due to how that face is delivered.  Due to varying levels of draw being my miss, I'd definitely have to weaken the loft of zxi7's by at least 1° to correct a bit of the clubs manufactured offset.

 

...unfortunately I struggle with that notion due to how high I already launch the ZX line of irons...which in turn has me fighting that with a shaft change, which is a rathole I don't want to go down.  I like my shafts.

925 Forged will be between ZXi5 and 7 in forgiveness. As a 10, ZXi4/5 will be plenty forgiving. If you like the solid feel of Mizuno, getting ZXi7 in Pw and 9 should not be a problem. If you're a digger, you must try ZXi, hah. The sole is special for diggers. If you're a sweeper, ZXi or 925 Forged are great picks. 925 HM Pro a good consideration for the 5 and maybe Hot Metal for the 4. My buddy has the 925 HM Pro with Recoil DARTs. They go plenty high. My favorite shaft is SteelFiber i80. Great option for either at an upcharge.

bought a set of these last week - so good!  my only issue was they definitely didn't spin to the ideal amount, so my plan is to bend these one degree weaker, and move to the pro v1x.  Would you folks think thats a smart plan?  i'm ~1 index (not to be a d-bag, just given context) but obviously distance control is crucial.  any help is appreciated!

Have not hit the new irons yet, but I played the previous generation of each. I found the 923F marginally more forgiving than the previous zx5. I think anyone under 20 handicap could easily play either. I didn’t find the zx7 particularly hard to hit either.

Good idea. Try the ball first and then adjust loft. Pro V1X and Left Dash both launch higher and spin more. I love the Left Dash. It's a unicorn golf ball if you don't mind the firm feel. I've heard 2025 Pro V1X spins more on irons.

Just looking down and seeing the visual size difference at address just tells you there is a difference. How big is really dependent on your quality of strike.

The reviews I have seen on YT of the full line, say the top lines are indistinquable from each other.  I find that a bit hard to believe but have seen it a couple times.  Most of size difference seems to be slightly in the blade length and sole.

I'm different than most as my combo set is 4's and 5's.   I went 5-7 in the 4's and 8-G in the 5's.  I did have my 4 7 iron weakened by one degree mainly for a bit more spin, but also to close the gap between it and the 8.

Yeah srixon are the only ones that keep the top line exactly the same throughout their iron lines. Which is why they are the easiest to combo

 

The blade length a bit of course but just the overall profile has more girth and is apparent side by side that measurement numbers cannot portray

Staffer here.  I received mine a couple of weeks ago. They said "in packing" for like 2.5 weeks. I wonder if the custom paint options may have taken them a while to ship. 

 

I work with another staffer whose shipping date has been delayed 3-4 times already too.

 

Just FYI. They are WORTH THE WAIT! The driver is a huge surprise upgrade from the mkii series, the wedges are the best feeling wedges I have ever tried, the irons are every bit as good as advertised. (I asked for the ZXi4's just to see how forgiving and good feeling they are. They are so easy to hit and look and feel great.)

I should have clarified, it's the irons and wedges, I'm waiting on.  The Driver, FW and hybrid came in a week or so ago.  I didn't have too many customizations on the irons, just the wedges.   My woods did say in packing for two weeks.  The scheduled ship date shows tomorrow, so we'll see.

 

I agree the driver is so good.  It should be one of if not the most under rated of the year, and a good amount less expensive.

As an arthritic old guy I'm graphite only from now on -- have Steelfiber i80cw in my current full set of ZX5 MkII. My clubmaker is hoping to get the new UST Dart HDC 80 in soon and will probably try those out just for comparison purposes.

Well, my ZXi7's have arrived. So pure.

 

 

 

It was 9 degrees F this morning in Tennessee, so I probably won't be able to get them out until at least Saturday. Will give me time to throw some grips on. Here's me being VERY nit-picky... This is my first set of Srixon's, and the only thing i've noticed is that my Modus shaft labels aren't aligned the best when logo down. Obviously not viewable at address and won't affect anything except my OCD. Ferrules are nice and clean, and no dings or anything on the heads as expected. I am potentially having my SM10's re-built before the season starts, so I may have these done too while i'm at it, and throw on some BB&F ferrules/straighten the logos out. Will post any updates I have! I have a feeling these may come out on top vs my P7CB's!

Pre-ordered on Dec 30th, and supposed to be delivered Saturday the 18th, but delayed until today. No real way of knowing as there's been others that ordered just last week and are getting theirs as well. I'll just say it seems like sets are going out quick unless you have some crazy customization stuff going on. Paint, ferrules, etc.

Can anyone comment on the forgiveness difference between the ZXI7 and ZFII? I don't know what it is, but those ZFII keeping calling my name. I'm surprised more staffers don't bag them, which tells me the 7s are much better...or they get paid to bag them specifically. The ZFII footprint is darn near perfect to my eye.

I strengthened the 7s 1 degree to blend with the 5s. Hopefully they aren't too low spin. Will report back
