I don’t mean this as an exaggeration….. I’ve literally NEVER received a package from them on time. Usually, it is a minimum of 1 but usually 2 days after the initial date. This time, they just out FedEx’d themselves.

My experience is quite similar with FedEx - you’re not alone

Nothing is safe in my bag!

Order placed with True Spec for 4-PW in the ZXi5’s. Is the consensus these are in fact softer feeling than the ZX5 Mkii model?

In my short time with them so far, i’d say yes.

Curious about the P7MC feel vs the ZXi7 - as someone who played the ZX7 last year for a few months, but I have a lot of interest in the P7CB for a few reasons.  (Indoor) testing I spin the P7CB more appropriately.  I find the spin in the Srixon to be very low even taking into consideration the strong lofts.  Last season I distinctly remember hitting an 8 iron into a green more than once and having it hop forward on the green about 10 paces.  Buddies would beat me to the green and say "oh man, your pitch mark was right by the pin but it released"

Can't have this coming from Mizuno MP221's just before those ZX7's.

I was still eyeballing these ZXi7's and was hoping some early testers would say they're noticing more spin.  But haven't heard that yet - so I was considering weakening them 1°, but in my calculus, even that may not make up the extreme spin differential I was seeing loft for loft.

Still undecided so your opinion is interesting.  I'm a sucker for feel.

As somebody that has owned every generation of ZX7’s minus the ZXI’s I prefer the P7CB. Srixon irons do absolutely feel great but they can feel a little hot which is why I played the Z Forged MKII for a while. To me the P7CB feels as nice as my TC201’s did and I’m not really seeing a drop off in distance compared to ZX7’s. I think when comparing irons in this category it really all comes down to preference in feel and looks….the 2 most subjective parts. I would also always recommend hitting both with the same shaft because the DG Mid’s feel horrible to me compared to Modus.

Has anyone compared ZXi7 to T150? Interested in forgiveness, distance and spin numbers. I've been a T150 player since they came out and I've mostly been satisfied but they haven't overwhelmed me.

i compared the two last year and found the ZX7 MKII a tad more forgiving than t150.  But the T150 are awesome.

Both great.

I’d agree with this and think the Mkii 7 felt better than the T150.  More a compliment to the Srixon than a knock on the T150

I have owned a combo set of the original mk I ZX5 and ZX7 irons for the last 4 years (5i,6i are ZX5 and 7-AW are ZX7). I have really liked them and this year I decided to order a full set of ZXi5 irons (5i-AW) as while I find the ZX7 easy to hit, I know I lose ball speed on off center hits.

My handicap ranges from 6-9.  Here is some data comparison (pdf attached) from the new irons vs my prior set.  I currently only have the 5-7i as the others are being built still. I will post updated numbers for those when I get them.

Testing parameters were as follows:

-              Indoor testing

-              Hit of matt (lower spin, higher launch vs turf)

-              GCQuad data

-              Elevation at 2000 ft

-              All irons hit with Axiom 105s shafts

-              Ball was Chrome Tour

-              I removed 10% of the longest and shortest carry of the all the shots to ensure no outliers given the smaller sample size

-              The 5i and 6i are true apples to apples comparison as these are ZX5 vs ZXi5, the 7i is not a perfect comp as the iron model is different

Quick observations:

-              In the 5i, 6i, the ZXi5 irons have better smash factor and thus better carry than the ZX5 mk I irons.  these feel like a nice improvement. Spin numbers, descent etc remain very similar for the ZXi5 vs ZX5 mk1

-              In the ZXi5 7i, the increased smash and higher descent angle is nice. You will see the spin numbers are lower in the ZXi5 iron (remember, these are off a matt). I will keep an eye on that as I may need to switch to a higher spinning ball (Chrome Tour X).

-              Feel was softer in the ZXi5 irons. They felt really good and shots kept ball speeds up even with less than perfect contact.

Very happy with the decision to upgrade and go with ZXi5 across the full set vs combo this time around. Hope this helps anyone on the fence.

I spent a good amount of time in my fitting with various irons and it came down to a choice between these two. I had the original z745’s and was keen on the t150’s. (The looks and the titleist name) but ultimately chose the zxi7. For me they were more forgiving than t150 but also felt better. Would I swap from the t150 to go into the zxi7 in your case? Probably not. Unless you have a serious fever and it is only cured by new things

Im interested in potentially moving on from my p790s to the zx line. Is the feel on the zx line really a huge upgrade from those who may have hit both?

I don't own the P790's but have hit the current model extensively at our course, and the ZXi fell miles better than the P790 to me.

I took advantage of the custom wedges with the promotion and they just arrived today. Wow, they look absolutely awesome. Can't wait to go play them.

Got out for a few holes today.  On the lsst hole i was hitting 40 to 50 yard pitch shots with my 54 RTZ was stopping them from 6-12 feet.   And as a bonus i made 3 of the 4 putts with my brand new DF3!

Tried multiple. Mizunos had perfect spin for me with also multiple shafts tried. The s3 and the 925 forge. Think I’m going to go with the 925 it felt as good as my 243s but felt more stable and forgiving with my miss hits. Believe srixons in general have lower spin than average. I have a set of mkIIs as well that I’m gonna be selling.
