2025 Srixon ZXi Irons

I have a set of zx5 mkii’s that I really enjoy so I wasn’t really in the market to upgrade those. I did get a set of 5-g 925f’s so I am a true wrxer despite that previous statement. All of that is to say I couldn’t help myself and pulled the trigger on a zxi4 4i to pair with both sets and it looks amazing from address. I’ve played two rounds with it and it absolutely performs. Have a modus 125x in it and I’ve got more confidence in this 4i than I've had with previous experiments. Its point and shoot and very forgiving. Let’s hope this isn’t a honeymoon period. 
 

I could see better players using this as a driving iron/tee club .

For those that have hit the ZXi5 and ZXi7, did you find them relatively neutral or fade or draw biased in any way? Thinking of getting back into Srixon - used to play Z765 which I liked, but think of going to more forgiveness this time with ZXi5. However, want to avoid anything that mores draw biased.

Anyone who is a dealer or can look at an order sheet.  Can you order MMT 105s in the zxi5 and the tour rack wedges.,  I know you can order the axioms, but can't see the mitsubishi mmt.  Thank you!!

In my short time with the ZXi 5 they are fading for me.  But that is my normal shot shape.  I would say they might be fading a tad more than my I530 do.  But I also think I got them 1 degree less upright than I did the PINGS .  I would not say they are draw biased in any way.

Ive been thinking about trying a zxi4 4i in the same spot, good to hear the positive feedback.  Found it interesting that it is listed to have quite a bit less offset than the ZXiU.

 

OT, but I am really interested in the 925F.  I have a fitting booked friday and am hopeful to end up in Zxi7 combo or the 925F.   You should post your initial 925 feedback in that thread.

I went combo 4/5.   But honestly would have been happy with all 4.   The 4 is one of the best feeling/sounding GI clubs I’ve hit.

If anyone with a new set can verify the sticker stating "head made in Thailand" that's the giveaway that yes they are Endo/Thailand which is where anything that is Endo forged is coming from these days.

Honestly, I don’t have a good answer for you. I played previous gen 923 HMPs and loved the them. Purchased the 925’s sight unseen and just never got along. 
 

Certainly this is a user issue and not the tool but I lost the 925’s right more often.

7 clubs (5-GW). Project X 5.5 shafts. Golf Pride MCC Plus4 grips. Stock loft and lies. Order placed Jan 24th. Arrived Jan 29th.

How do they compare to your i530S?

It is still very esrly and I’ve yet to play a round with them.  Basically just a few days of practice on one of our par 5’s ij temps not above 50 and a bit windy.  Just hitting shots from 40 yards to 180–the 180 is the Zzi 5 wood.  

All that said, they feel and sound better than the 530.  The V sole ie definitely working as the ground is veey soft due to the snow that just melted on Monday.  
 

Also a difference in shaft. I went KBS Tour Lite jn the Srixon vs Recoil Dart 75g in the 530.  I really like the heavier weight.   At most it may have cost me 1 mph in swing speed.  But that is also swinging the KBS layered up due to winter.

Yes MMT 65, 85, and 105 are available

Self control lost and I have a set of ZXi7 heads inbound. I played both of the previous versions and if the feel of these are as good as everyone says they are, I will be very pleased. My angle of attack was pretty neutral and now that I’ve gotten a bit steeper I’m really looking forward to these.

What's everyone's experience been for turnaround time from order to delivery? Sounds like these are getting out quickly.

They were new pulls so not exactly sure what the retailer was doing with the original shafts.

I ordered the Monday it was available and received my 4-pw 7 days later. My utility iron came in like 4 business days after that. I ordered my wedges the same day, but had them customized and just got them like 3 days ago.

The local roger Dunn had a few sets of these in their used section.  They were marked demo but didn’t have much wear.

Had a head to head with my T150.

 

So Close.  I think the T150 feel better.  T150 look slightly better.

 

The 7s are a Tad more forgiving maybe.

 

I dunno both awesome clubs.  I might stick to the 150s though.

 

Strangely I thought the T150 long irons were more forgiving.

Just ordered a combo set, utility, 5 series and 7 series.  I currently have T150's.  I have no desire to get rid of them.  They are that good.  Looking forward to the new Srixon's though.
