Ive been thinking about trying a zxi4 4i in the same spot, good to hear the positive feedback.  Found it interesting that it is listed to have quite a bit less offset than the ZXiU.

OT, but I am really interested in the 925F.  I have a fitting booked friday and am hopeful to end up in Zxi7 combo or the 925F.   You should post your initial 925 feedback in that thread.

Is the 925F more similar to ZXi5 or 7?

Ok Ive given them a good little test on the Sim.

They are awesome.  Feel incredible.  Launch higher and spin more than my PXG 0311P.  Only 5 yards shorter ish per club.

Excellent control.

Taking the plastic off them today.

Committed to them for 2025.  (Feb 2025 anyways lol)

Zx7. The 925F has a smaller top line and sole appears smaller too

That's what I thought. Will try 925F, ZX5i, Cobra and one or two other brands most likely. Trying to keep and open mind, but been wanting a set of Mizuno's for years but last couple of years Srixon has made some great irons.

Tried the ZXi5 today with my very rusty swing. The shape is perfection and the cosmetics are an improvement over the MKii. They feel great and forgiveness was impressive. I could see myself with a full set. The 7’s are great as well but I could use the forgiveness.

I’ve said in other threads that the zxi5 is best looking of the 5 series.

I'll be trying them for sure. The only thing I don't love is the fat, chunky soles. Maybe I could get over it.

First round in yesterday and cannot be happier with my decision to move into the ZXI4's. they replaced the MP 245s which I hit fine but was talked into the 4s just for all that more forgiveness along with the added benefit of the Tour-VT Sole.

I struggle with RA and the body is quickly losing the battle with age. Huge transition to battle it in this set, switched to reg flex shafts from stiff flex, went .5" longer in length, and midsize versus standard sized grips.

Was very fixated on the cast body with forged face aspect, (generational-forged-nut here lol, old habits die hard) but knew all I wanted was what’s best for my game, nothing else truly mattered. If it felt good cast, forged, or whatever, I was mentally prepared to game it. They felt great with a slight click off the face that others have noted in the previous gens. The turf interaction is, OUT OF THIS WORLD! I live in south Texas and we play off tight hard pan and I had ZERO issue just throwing this hard into the turf and went along for the ride. The turf interaction response I have to say is something I've never truly felt in previous irons. I guess it's more on the mind with this set, but it is as good as advertised!

Just some quick FYI's, they are the same sized topline as the 5's, nearly identical offset, just larger sole. Hands down best-looking GI clubs this year.

If you're considering the 4's I cannot say enough for how great they are!

Ill grab some pic later on tonight.

Excellent, thanks for the feedback.  I am testing a set of Callaway Elytes at the moment, trying to pickup a little length and forgiveness.  ZXI4 was my other thought, I got a little scared of the sole width though.  Sounds like it’s a non issue, look forward to hitting them at some point.

Oh man! The pointy toe and Endo forging has me so conflicted! Srixon def has it for me at address.
Gonna need to go put some time in at the shop and nail it down.

I like the address look of the Srixon 100% better…but the feel and look of the Black Mizuno’s are just so sexy 😬😬

The zx7 makes the 925 forged seem petite.

I was completely shocked to be honest. I thought they’d be bigger than the 7’s but smaller than the 5’s.

Great recap.  I have a 4/5 combo and you said it all. Best looking and likely best feeling GI on the market.

i could easily have gone all 4 and been happy.

I finally got my set in last week and have had one simulator round, so far. For those asking about build and ship time…. My set was built and shipped in about two days. Unfortunately, they use FedEx for shipping and FedEx sent the irons around the country for two weeks before I got them.

As a bit of background, I have played dang near everything over the years but this past season I played with the Blueprint S. The Blueprint S has been an extremely good iron for me, so I was not searching for a “fix” of any kind. I just simply like trying new things and enjoyed the first iteration of the ZX7s.

For those that have played the BPS, I would say these ZXi7 irons perform exactly the same, for me. My numbers were basically identical. They were literally almost indistinguishable from a numbers perspective.

The main differences I’ve seen so far are cosmetic. There is an obvious difference in the top line. Srixon is obviously thicker. I certainly prefer the top line of the BPS but I prefer the feel of the ZXi7. Size wise, they are very similar in glade length and sole width. I expected the ZXi7s to be much thicker in the sole and I do believe they are slightly thicker but have not measured them, so I can’t give you definitive numbers. I was actually a bit surprised by how similar they are in size.

I need more time to work through differences and make a decision. I would say that the BPS are the most complete iron I’ve ever played, so if I switch, it will be because ZXi7s perform at least as well, but feel better (to me).

Stay tuned for future updates and I’m happy to offer my experiences and thoughts.

Thanks for the detailed comparison.  I would have guessed that the BPS were shorter blade lengths - good to hear they are similar.

I'm curious to hear if you find a difference in the 4 and 5 irons between the two sets, being that the BPS have the slot in the long irons?

G440 Max 9* - Ventus Black Plus 5x
BRNR 13.5 - AD-IZ 7s

Stealth 5w shorty - AD IZ 8s

Stealth2 4H - AD DI 95s

T150 5-P - Modus Tour 125s

SM10 - 48, 54, 60

Spider Tour X3

To be completely honest - I forgot there was even the slot on the BPS. I will definitely follow up with any future findings but as it stands right now, I cannot say that I noticed a difference in ball speed, height, or spin between the two. Stay tuned for future info. I usually get one simulator round in a week and I’ll continue to look for differences and share any findings.

Admittedly, I have been one to change irons every year but I’be really enjoyed the BPS and I’m making sure that I’m not changing just for the sake of changing. Rather, I will only change if there is an actual improvement.

They have arrived and are a beautiful set of heads! I assumed that these were new pulls but they have never been installed after looking in the hosels. I liked the look of the MKII head and these look even better in person.

Head weight tolerances are spot on as well at 7g increments for you club builders out there. Now I just need to figure out if I go X100’s in chrome or black.
