Weird the iron graphics don't align with the spine. I've checked about a dozen Ventus wood shafts and all of them had the spine on the graphics.

I've been playing the 2021 ZX4 4 iron (at 23 deg) for the past 4 years, and have absolutely loved it. I put a ZXi4 4 iron (also 23 deg) in the bag back in January, simply for "new and shiny" purposes. This is, without question, the easiest long iron I've ever hit, offers the most effective trajectory, and is also the best "feeling" hollow iron I've hit - vs a few different flavors of P790, PXG, etc... And I've been a golf nut for 40+ years.

 

A few weeks ago I ordered a 5-P set of ZXi5s to replace my 2021 ZX5s. The lofts (+1 weak on the 5s) are generally a better fit for me, but I'm really wondering if I should have just gone with ZXi4s at 2-3 deg weak. I should have the ZXi5s sometime next week. Hopefully I like them as much as my older ones.

 

Anyway, point is the ZXi4 is a crazy good design.

I just ordered a ZXi4 4 iron today along with a ZXi7 AW. I’m going to add them to my ZX5/ZX7 MK II set that I currently play and see how I get along with both of them.

still no outdoor rounds but many sim rounds. 

 

I like these irons.  They are basically very similar as last years and years prior.  I don't "Love" them to be honest.

 

I dont know why.  Can't wait for an outdoor round coming up in a few weeks.

They really come alive outside.  It’s almost like a completely different iron from indoor to getting them in the dirt.

I completely agree with this comment. I would also say mat to turf (which is the same as inside), totally different performance. Really happy with these on course.

Still waiting on my ZXi4’s to ship. A label was sent to FedEx last Thursday and there been no update since. Still says, “label created”. Wondering if the issue uncovered by AGN is causing delays in shipping these out. Maybe an extra layer of quality control or something? Honestly, it makes me sick to think I just spent $1500 on a custom set of irons that could be defective. And this is the first time I’ve bought a new set of irons built by Srixon.

I think you’re reading a bit much into it. On my order it stayed “in boxing” for like 3 to 4 days and “Label Created” for another 3-4.

I've had three sets of Srixon irons over the years, two of which were custom, and just got a custom ZXi LS driver. All have been as spec'ed. I wouldn't worry at all.

Man they look sweet. Ordered the same. Golf galaxy not as fast as direct but was able to save 200 with a coupon and 40 with points and a gift card. Can’t wait to get mine. Urs look sweet!

Any thoughts on how the zxi7 would compare to an “older” single-piece forged players cavity back? I’ve been playing the Mizuno MP57 for the better part of 15 years now and can’t find anything wrong with them - but like a good wrx’r i have that desire to find something nearly the same but somehow “better”. I’ve tried a few different beads over the years - MP53, P7MC, i210, i230, MP20MMC - and always end up back with my trusty MP57s. Srixon has been making waves and the zxi7 really catch my eye, though lofts are much stronger versus what I’m used to as I play MP57 off a 31* 6 iron. Can an iron in this “players single piece forged CB” category really offer much improvement versus the MP57, or am I on a wild goose chase?
