2025 Srixon ZXi Irons

The leading edge chatter thing is disappointing for sure, but after 18 holes you'd have a lot more of that.

...BUT, that chipped ZXi5 emblem is a nope and sum of the two would cause me to do exactly what you're doing.  Keep up informed.

Curious - what makes the Zxi7 better?

Well i actually have the 4/5 combo.  The 4’s are much sleeker looking.  The 5’s look nicer as well and have a softer feel.

Last year I built a set of ZX5s for one of my sons and he couldn’t stop gushing about how much he loves them. Built a set of ZX7s for his buddy who is a better player and he had same reaction. After watching both of them enjoy those clubs and seeing that the ZXi’s were coming out, my interest was peaked

just had a set built last month. Have played P790’s for almost 5 years but it was time for a new set of sticks. Got ZXi5 in 5i & 6i then 7-PW in ZXi7. All in C-Taper Tour Lite and all I can say is wow. I played PX 5.5 in every set I have owned for past 15+ years but this new set up is amazing. I was a little concerned that I might lose a few yards from my 790s due to the strong lofts in the TM line but my ZXi 7 iron goes exactly same distance as my old clubs and the workability and ball flight is so much better.

Can’t wait to build another set for my younger son who feels left out now when he sees the other 3 of us smile so much

swing is getting dialled in.

The ZXi7 are amazing.

Did a complete fitting tonight and the Srixon Spanked everything with the T150 and 243 Pro coming a distant 2nd and 3rd.

The 5s were too big.  Tough to get through the ball for me.  The 7s are perfect.

Any ‘long term’ reviews of the Zxi7 yet? Much different than the mkii Zx7?

I think they Feel Better.

I am a fan of the DG Mid 115 for sure over the Modus as well.

I think the OG was the best personally. The top line got bigger with each version it seems.

I agree. They look better to be honest. It's really hard to quantify performance when your scores are basically the same. I'm playing ZXi because everybody was raving about feel but og felt great already.

Did you by chance hit the mkii Zx7? Really trying to decide between that and zxi7

Zx7 mkii are money clubs. Love them. Just seeing if the upgrade will bring anything better than what I get currently with the mkii, same boat as you

Slightly softer, slightly more spin - depends if you think it’s worth…was for me 😀

Anyone else still waiting on ZXi7 8 and 7 irons to be restocked? I'm not sure how long the backorder is on these but I'm sure they will be worth the wait.

I’m about 5 weeks in waiting for my set to arrive.  Ordered zxi7 p-6 zxi5 5i and RTZ wedges.  Received the zxi5 and 60* wedge two weeks ago.  Still waiting on the zxi7.

They told me they were waiting on 2 heads as well but not sure which ones.  Received notification that the irons are finally in production yesterday and should get shipped out by EOW.  Fingers crossed…

Ordered mine on the 23rd. ZXi5 5-AW with DG 115 mid S.

I struggled with my iron game for years but have put in a bit of work on the range the past few years and have seen improvements, so will be interesting to see how I adapt to these. Playing J40 DPC from Bridgestone, they must be over 10 years old so was due for a change.

Anyone think the mkii was better ? Those who have spent decent time with both?

I loved my MKii ZX7 and was not taking the bait that the ZXi would be better, but now after two rounds, I do feel they are softer.  Better?  IDK about that if we are talking all around performance yet, too early still, but they definitely feel better to me.  Not that the MKii feel bad, but I can feel the ZXi softness for sure.  I can say I have been impressed with the performance of my 9i off the toe.  Twice now I have missed there and the ball did not lose much yardage if any.

I had been playing Srixon irons most of the time since the 765/565s.   Last year at this time was still playing a MKii mixed set.  Then I tried a set of Mizuno Pro 243s,  I kind of liked them but my gapping seemed weird, also had a set of Maltby TS3/4s built up, they were OK, but I was not crazy about them.    Then decided I wanted to try some hollow bodied "players distance" clubs, first the Apex TiFusion, not for me, then the P770s, just something not right with them.

Gave up and this week and going back to my old friends, ordered a mixed set of ZXi5 4-6, ZXi7-PW, went back to the TGI shaft,  the 95s, one weight heavier than I had in my last set.  Ordered from Edwin Watts, they didn't say anything about back orders at the time, I might go over there today and ask them what the status is.   I did notice they have no ZXi7s on the floor, but have a lot of Zxi5s.....

Had mine for about two weeks. Had to go back as the KBS shafts where wearing fast, I mean done to the nickel in some spots. Fitter sent them back still waiting to hear the outcome…

so for now the 245s are back in the bag and I am really missing the zxi’s…

2 rounds in. The feel is very soft. I agree with the toe hits.
these irons will get to be known has not losing distance or feel with toe strikes that still have blade like control and feel.
I did go with Zxi 5 for the 4 iron. I hope I don’t regret this. Having a bit of trouble with the big sole atm.

Appreciate the feedback. That’s how I feel about the mkii with the misses being not very penal and good forgiveness. Do you find an improvement over the mkii so far in that category or just the same basically with the zxi?
