I haven't hit them, but have seen the blades in person.  They are very sweet MB's for sure!.  Lately, it seems that more of the ZFII's are popping up on tour.  Just in last couple of weeks, you got Kurt Kitayama who is sponsored by Bridgestone bagging them (at least for now).  Check out the latest WITB's from the Farmer's...there are 2 guys, Taylor Montgomery and Taylor Dickson which are both free agents bagging the ZFII.  I believe that some of the staffers are combining them in the short clubs.  There are more than you think, definitely more than I just mentioned.

For me personally I couldn’t tell much of a difference. I did a fitting a few years ago comparing MKII ZX7’s and the ZFII that for some reason showed me being more consistent with the ZFII with no loss in distance. I actually just purchased another set of ZFII’s in 5-PW today over going ZXI7. The ZXI7 looks very nice and feels incredible but I do have concerns with spin.

I've had my ZX5 mkii's for 2 years without an issue.   I think the ZXi5's will be the same, with no issues...

did you just order an iron combo set?  My combo was 4 ZXi5's and 4 ZXI7's.   No loft adjustments but I did have the shafts shortened by 1/4" and lie adjusted 1 degree flat.

On the dealer portals, when you order a combo set, it's almost like two separate orders, one for 3 clubs and one for 4 clubs etc.   That's how mine shows.  So not surprising that they may show up in different shipments.

I ordered directly from Srixon... just not sure if that follows under "dealer portals" (was thinking you meant if ordering from DD, etc...).    Its not a big deal, just haven't seen that before.

No I meant we as Srixon Dealers can see "behind the walls" so to speak on how they input/process orders.

I did a zxi4 4 iron, zxi5 5-6, zxi7 7-P - loft adjustments and modus shafts. Most coming from cali but one package coming from SC. Logistics!!

I think it was the TSA doing an inspection. I could tell it's forcibly pulled off. Two other irons in my set also had a similar damage on the back but luckily the covers are still on. I guess they decided to just open one of my irons since it's difficult haha... All I know is the TSA at SEA know nothing about golf clubs.

In my experience, stock Mizuno is ever so slightly longer than stock Srixon. They are probably the 2 longest and have finally started stating they are a quarter inch longer than what had been stated previously. Mizuno might be 1/8 at the most. Not huge. I ordered half inch long mizunos a while back coming from Titleist and they were every bit of 3/4 inches longer than my AP2s. Unfortunately with Mizuno they won't do the B weight heads until you go up by a half inch. I tried 1/4 inch longer and the swingweight was higher than I wanted. I've never had much luck with Mizuno building things correctly (as ordered) which is why I no longer buy their clubs.

That's crazy!!   I've never heard of TSA pulling off the badges.   Charge them for a new set!!!😜

Spent some time on the range yesterday.  The 7s feel really good.  The 5s are just okay, a little clunky on some strikes.  Still need more time behind the wheel to get used to both.

When I go through the custom order form through the Srixon site, they are offering all steel shafts for no upcharge?

KBS $Taper black as a stock offering?

The only other irons I’ve seen this is Mizuno, whereas most other brands charge $40 per club for almost every other shaft option.

I have ZX5 5-7 and ZX7 8-PW.

 

When I get an in-between distance around 150ish I'm always looking for reasons to swing the ZX7 8 iron over the ZX5 7. I guess I should have chosen a ZX7 7 head. 

 

The ZX5's produce a beautiful flight and I'm happy to have the extra launch and distance but they feel more like a hybrid than an iron to me.

Hi all,

My ZXi4 4 iron showed up today. Won't be able to hit it for a week or so, but holy cow they have slimmed these down in 2 generations!

 

Comparison pics between my OG ZX4 and the ZXi4 below. Both are 2 degrees weak at 23, so some offset has been taken out of both. The difference is dramatic. As you can see below, the OG ZX4 looks more like a hybrid, and the ZXi4 doesn't even look like traditional "game improvment" club. The offset difference is even more more pronounced in person.

 

Also, Srixon did a great job with the build on this 4 iron. Loft (+2) and lie (+1) were both absolutely spot on. That's very rare for an OEM. Now if they would just do custom swing weights...

Hands down one of the best things about Srixon.  While Titleist continues to gouge it's loyal fanbase, Srixon is more than happy to offer at no upcharge.  👏

well... first of 3 packages was just a 7 iron... yikes...  I wonder if I will be getting 5 more shipping notices.    This seems a tad inefficient. 

 

lol... also just noticed that the 3rd shipping notice states the dimensions are 14"x7"x5"... so.... that should be interesting considering the shortest iron is over 35"

I’ve heard the same. Feel on the 5s just not as good as the 7s.

In addition to the improved looks, I can tell you the feel and sound are tremendous on these.  I got to play them for a round in November and it was one of the biggest reasons I went with a combo set of 4 and 5 irons.

Anyone hit ZX7 MKII vs ZXi7 yet? Original rumor was the ZXi was going to spin a little more, just wondering if that’s true or not

no joke.  Mizuno's raw T24 wedges come with TI GD S400 shafts (like $40-50 premium with Titleist) and $10 upcharge multicompound grip for under $100 on some sites.  

 

I have some testing to do but might be without a titleist club in the bag for the first time in 15 years.

no worries.  Didn't order anything else from Srixon aside from the 5/7 combo set of 8 irons.   Not expecting anything else from FedEx but I can neither confirm or deny I didn't order something else golf related and forgot about it. 

 

On a related note it does appear that more shipping notices from FedEx will be sent.  I reached out to Srixon to ask about it and they confirmed that they just ship items as they are ready and don't wait for the entire order.  I guess someone decided to build just the 7 iron days ahead of the rest of the order....I'm considering it the appetizer to my full combo set.  Second course should be here tomorrow... I'm thinking a wedge of some kind.

I noticed that too! Titleist, TM, PXG etc are all + $14 for any other grip as well. The shaft and grip savings is a huge factor in my next irons and it’s looking more and more like it’ll be Srixon.
