Crazy that they offer MMT in irons but not in the RTX wedges. I’m wondering if that’s an error on the website since you could order a G,S,and L wedge in the Zipcore XL irons.

MMT’s in the 2025 Srixon/Cleveland custom catalog for Irons only.

I've got access to MMTs in 65, 85 and 105 in the RTZ wedges on the dealer side of a custom order. If you are wanting to order direct you can probably get those with a phone call.

Just wanted to pop in here with a few numbers. I stopped at my local Edwin Watts on Saturday and hit a few shots on GC Quad with the ZXi7 fitting head (7i) and my usual Modus 120X. For about 20 shots or so and not swinging my absolute best, here's what I was seeing:

 

SS Avg: 89-91 mph

Ball Speeds Avg: 119.5 mph

Launch angle Avg: 17.9°

Spin Avg: 6267 rpm

Descent Avg: 47.3°

Peak Avg: 99 ft

Carry Avg: 172 - 5yd std dev

Total Avg: 182 - 6yd std dev

 

Overall, more than happy with those numbers. Nothing out of the ordinary for me. Guess i'd like maybe a little more spin, but not a concern off of the mats indoors... I'm sure i'd get a little better numbers with a good ball and hitting off grass. Descent is solid, Peak is what i'm looking for, Carry is what I would expect, etc. These should be great. Will do more extensive testing and book a trackman session or two when I get my set back but overall very impressed. They feel great. A little more buttery off the face for me compared to the P7CB but I get that not everyone will feel that way.

Currently play MKII ZX5 3 and 5 irons, then ZX7s 6-PW. Thinking in the ZXi I might go 3 utility, 5 ZXi5, 6-7 ZXi7 and 8-PW in the Z Forged II.

 

I have a half set that is 5/7/9/PW in the Z Forged and the 7 is manageable for me on most days but that is where I think it makes sense to break to the ZXi7 for more forgiveness, and it lets me keep my preferred loft gaps at 4° all through the bag.

Hit both the 7 and 5 in a 7i today. I tried a few different shafts in each. Ended up really liking the KBS Tour C-Taper Lite 110 S in the ZXi5 the most. Very consistent and good feel for me. Didn’t see any fliers or oddly low spinning shots. The dispersion was really really good. 

 

The ZXi7 didn’t feel as soft as the MKII ZX7 (hit it moments before) for some reason.

Got my eyes on the ZXi5 or ZXi5/7 combo, and will go through a fitting once they're available in my area (Europe).

Do you guys go 4-P or 5-AW considering the lofts are pretty strong. The PW for ZXi5 looks to be 44 degrees so room for 48 - 52 - 56 - 60 too, or 50 - 54 - 58 if I got with the AW. 

I don't think I'll go 4-AW personally, but not quite sure what to do. Shouldn't the lofts be better aligned between the 5s and the 7s when they're so into doing combo sets?

I haven't been fit YET for the new ZXi irons.   But in my current set of ZX MKii's I did the 5-AW because of the lofts.

Anyone have any comments on a ZXi4 iron vs a ZXiU 20* in steel at a 4i length?

 

I guess I'm looking for launch and spin differences.

!!! Sneak Peek Time 👀 ... Should have them back in hand on Thursday! We ended up bending the 9i and Pw 1° strong to make them 5° gaps, and then the same 5° gaps to my 50-55-60 wedge setup. Looking spicy.

Please report back on this.  I am so intrigued by the new ZXi7, but I've had one very expensive experience trying to wander away from the Blueprint S.  I'm gun shy on trying it again.

Will do. It's going to be very difficult to knock the BPS out of the bag.

Modus 105S. I got a combo set and I hit the ZXI5 6iron against my blueprint s (power spec) 6iron with the same shaft. I was shocked to find no real difference between the two. 
 

Taking the PW and 7 ZXI7 tomorrow and will get some numbers.

Finally got around to testing these against my zx7 mike's last night on the TM4!

 

Zxi7's - a slightly softer feel (which I prefer) and spin was up for me about 200/300rpm. Only downside, after looking the top line more, it does look bigger - the champfer on the inner edge of the top line is smaller (annoyingly)

 

Zxi5's - only have this in my 5iron and a big improvement across the board from my Zx5mkii, looks vastly better, feel off the face was much closer to the zxi7's spin was similar but consistency off the face was also better for me - people upgrading from a full set of zx5 mkii's to zxi5's are in for a treat!

So just got back. Pings are power spec and I bent the ZXi7s 1° strong to gap with my wedges and the combo set. Same shafts and grips.

 

feel is a wash, to me. I know it's subjective and people love srixon feel, but I just don't feel much difference here at all. Ball speeds almost identical, but I got slightly better spin, descent, and peak height with the pings. Little better carry, as well. ping top line is better without a doubt and I do love the white bottom groove to frame the ball.

So take my rusty Michigan winter swing FWIW. The Zxi7 is awesome, if I disnt have the BPS, I'd game them in a sec, but they aren't going to push the Pings out. Just waiting for a 4iron to come in and will be putting them in the BST

Build looks great!
But I can’t stand the busy look of that type of ferrule. I don’t even like the 1 or 2 thin silver stripes some OEMs use (Srixon). Solid black for me. But as always. To each their own 😊

Yes, I definitely do with my MKii's. My distances (gaps) with the AW fit in better than a GW for me.   But yet to be seen with the ZXi's.   I'm scheduled for a fitting on 2/14 to see if I will stay with the 5's, go to 7's or do a combo set.
