Thanks Carolina! That feedback is super helpful.  I special ordered one KBS Tour Lite (R) 7I to test out and it just came in a few days ago.  I’m going to test the heck out of it this week and I’m guessing it could be my best route.  I’ve had in my head that Regular shafts generally had wider dispersions than Stiff shafts but I think thats faulty thinking.  Seems like the shaft bend profile and weight for a given swing load is even more important.

You are correct…weight is more important than flex.  As we know flexes deviate from brand to brand.  I was slightly concerned about my swing holding up for 18 holes with the 105g -coming from an 80G graphite in my previous set.  But it hasn’t been an issue st all.  My 7 iron SS might be 1 mph off at most on some swings ive tsken on Trackman and my MLM2, but the control of the heavier shaft during my swing is a big plus.

If my set with Steelfiber i110 come in at D0 and C9 I'm going to be wildly disappointed. I ordered them at 1/4" over with standard size Tour Velvets. I requested D4 in PW-9 and then D3 in 8-5.

Shouldn't be an issue with that setup.  SF are ez to SW, extra length, std grip make it a conch.  If it was a midsize at d4 that would be pretty much impossible

For anyone interested Srixon has added the $ Taper PVD black as a NO upcharge option.

Are you just meaning the black gloss? They've been available since release, just severely backordered I believe.

The PVD black. From what I was told they just added them. Previously when I looked the chrome was the only option.

Yeah they were available in January with the whole ZXi line. I haven't been keeping up, but maybe they pulled them for a bit until they replenished some stock?

They are NO upcharge option if you are talking about the black $ taper. Looks like only regular is avaliable at this minute.

Sorry was on phone, meant to say no upcharge.

I hope I don't sound like a broken record, but how is spin on the ZXi7 working for everyone?

I revisited these irons last week in the LM/SIM and still found spin to be absurdly low on the 7  iron....so I moved to the 8 iron because as I understand, the grooves are different in the scoring irons.  But spin was still very low relative to loft.

I grabbed a high-swing-speed buddy of mine (who was nearby with his clubs) to hit the ZXi7  -and he saw the same low spin (dude's driver CHS lives around 120mph).

We know that hitting from mats can cause lower-than-usual spin numbers so he grabbed his gamer 7i P7CB with X7 shaft and spin was appropriate for a 33° club @ 6400.  Back to the ZXi7 7i, his spin dropped to around 4400rpm.  These irons are very low spin even considering their strong lofts.

What am I missing here?  We all have differing AoA but I consider mine to be somewhat normal for my CHS (driver 106mph)

(but they do feel great!)

Cool clubs testing seems to be on par with your testing.🙂

I am with others on being concerned about spin but made the investment to test it out. Haven't ever played Srixon and have been eager to test them out. Doesn't hurt that they are beautiful in my opinion. Can be pretty steep at times so encouraged to see what the v-sole is about. Have not had the chance to hit them but will see. Currently play T150-T200 (4/5 irons). Great setup and work well just have a disease and can't stop buying more s*** haha. Anyways. regarding spin hard to argue with a robot that swings perfect every time but it does seem to vary by player and swing type (no surprise I know). I found this review to be pretty decent and he seems to be getting pretty solid spin numbers (great swing to be fair). Just another rando sharing and opinion but I hope they work out.

They did indeed have axiom 125x in stock. I just got my new set today. Very quick turnaround time. Almost too quick. The shave job on the ferrules especially looks rushed.

In the same vein, Srixon really needs to step up their packaging game. They shipped mine with all the club heads touching, separated only by a thin layer of plastic. Most of them have a chatter mark, one has a sizable ding on the bottom corner of the face, and one has messed up badging. Very disappointing. I’ve ordered iron sets from Ping, Callaway, and New Level and have never had this issue.

Anyway, they’re great looking clubs otherwise, and I’m excited to get them to the course.

I get the whole tools not jewels thing, but it would’ve been so easy to avoid. Seems like the least you can do when you’re paying $185 per (or $250+ in my case w axiom). Callaway has keep the heads separate through the box design, ping puts covers over each one and bands the clubs together, Srixon has the softest metal of them all and just chucks it into the box with some loose paper lol.

Idk if this is really worth complaining about, but I at least fired off an email to tell them they should consider improving their packaging.

Good luck on the turn. Srixon/Cleveland CS sucks a**.

They put the wrong shaft on an RTZ wedge.  They sent me label to overnight ship it back.

When I called about the status, they said it would be weeks before it was processed.  It would have been nice it they told me that upfront.

I have 12 Srixon/Cleveland clubs in the bag and love the brand.  But pretty disappointed in their CS.

Hope you have better luck.

Wow, I will be inspecting mine extra carefully when they arrive. I can't believe a major manufacturer isn't banding and including some type of padding.

Like others have said I would return them.

If those were used and you wanted to list them for sale on WRX you 100% would have show/mention those dings.

The leading edge face ding is big.

Yeah i'm definitely an OCD guy myself, but this just isn't that. This is just unacceptable for brand new.

I will 100% agree on the packaging. I ordered a set of RTX6 Tour Racks last year and they just came loose in a box, and then same for my ZXi7's. A little better on the irons, but still not great. I think the bare minimum, all heads should have a sort of foam/bubble wrap iron cover that goes up past the ferrule, and some way to lock the shafts in from just jangling around. Obviously this is speculation, but it just may not be worth it to them to invest in packaging when a small number of orders have issues. Cost probably outweighs the benefit at that point, and they'd rather replace/repair a small number of orders with issues than try and prevent them altogether. Idk.

Honestly probably, but I would hope that’s not the case. The solutions other companies are using almost definitely cost like $1-2 max. Now you’ve got to replace two club heads for me and have a thread going on a popular golf forum where other people can see this + a separate report of Dunlop (srixon/cleveland) having poor customer service. It’s not a great look. I don’t want to have to worry about my $1500+ purchase showing up damaged, even if they do make it right. It’s one of those things that makes you think twice about ordering from them again
