I share the sentiment of the scenery while seeing some live golf happen!  Far better than a replay of the Procore final round… and soon to be single digits here juxtaposed with Hawaii on TV… let’s go!

theyre 8 hrs behind the east coast will you be in Hawaii

 

edit: my bad didnt realize hawaii doesnt observe daylight savings so its 7hrs

And they start in the morning in Hawaii.  Telecast starts at 12:30 aka lunchtime here in Michigan.

For me it’s a trio of things that can’t all be true at the same time in order to play: windy, wet and cold. Two out of three is tolerable, three is not. Above 40 degrees it’s rarely cold enough to not play to answer your question.

I do try to spend about 2 hours a week in the sim during the off season. Also taking lessons. Unfortunately it never quite scratches the itch like getting out on the course does.

Looks like quite a variety of scores so far, can see who is locked in and who isn't. Morikawa came to play and so did a bunch of the non superstars who see the opportunity here. Short field and a ton of FedEx/OWGR points.

Really hope Zalatoris can stay healthy this season. People forget how consistently good he was before the back injury in 2022. Six top 10s in majors out of nine played. Three times runner-up.

He needs to get with Jason Day and figure out a swing change to make sure he doesn't completely wreck his back, Day is one of the few guys I can think of with ongoing back problems that actually seems to have made adjustments and figured out how to take that stress off himself. But the way Willy Z swings, I dunno, hoping for the best.

Anyone catch Brandel on Golf Central after yesterday's round going on about how Willy Z. and Adam Scott are doing the long putter the "RIGHT WAY."  How you can see space between the hand and chest and elbow and chest.  He made a big deal out of saying the "RIGHT WAY" a couple times.  Wonder who he was backhandedly digging.😁
