It seems golf production these days tries to do anything except show the actual golf.  The happy hour stuff and talking to players as they walk down a course seems to be enjoyable only when/if it concludes a player I want to hear from.

During the LPGA broadcast, they routinely do the "While we have a moment....." breaks to talk to the CEO, or show some 3-5 minute snipet of news.  The only reason they have a moment, is because they aren't showing us golf.

-Just show us some golf please

-Quit showing every single 2' tap-in putt.  99% of the time they make it, we don't need the confirmation via two minutes of coverage of someone aim pointing from 24" away.  Show other/better shots.  And when they do miss it, replay it with zoomed in shots of their awful putting stroke.

The Happy Hour segments tend to get a lot more of the guys being themselves than the typical interviews so not really upset about them. Fun when they share info on how different holes are playing each day.

Not really a fan of the walk and talks. Let the guys focus on the round. I'm sure they'll look at the numbers and feedback over time and we'll have to deal with whatever gets them the most bang for the buck.

My beef with olympics the last 15-20 years, too. Used to love the winter olympics, then it seemed to change such that every 60 minutes of olympics was 20 minutes ads, 20 minutes backstory and then, if your’e lucky, 20 minutes of action.

Heck, I can see better olympic coverage watching a Cool Runnings replay than I can the actual olympic games.

Why not leave the last 2h on Peacock? NBC owns all these networks, wtf difference does it make? Besides punishment for people that don't have TGC...If the tournament were closer I'd probably switch on YT tv for a couple of months but, I'll wait til next Sunday now...jerks.

Likely someone decided forcing it to end and having it roll over to basketball was the move, but who knows. I'm with you, though. Not adding TGC just to deal with the mangled coverage going on right now where sometimes you can watch all the way through on Peacock and others you can't.

Shouldn't need multiple premium channels to see final rounds finish up and outside of OnDemand stuff I don't watch enough TV to go in on over a grand a year in packages.

They seem to be under pressure to "try new stuff" and "do different things" and just make bad choices.

Anyone know why Davis Riley WD? With 9 holes left?

He had a weird week, every score possible. 80 in rd 2 but on the back that day, he had 5 birdies and a nine (9).

Hurt? Sick? Just no idea where it was going?  Even today, 1 over on the front with no pars. But why wd unless you really can't continue?

Maybe since there's no cut he did the ol' "YOU CAN'T FIRE ME, I QUIT!" routine.
