More then $400 a month? Just to use the range?  What comes with that for price?

Range (which is pristine), 3-hole practice course, short game area, I believe it's 24/7 access to their Trackman simulators, and unlimited instruction from the teaching staff.

You could've read about that if you had just clicked on the link I posted. 😄

My kid's high school club golf team is looking for indoor sim facilities near Lone Tree that would be used in case of inclement weather. One bay on Wednesdays and/or Friday mornings (around 10:30am/11:30am) for an hour. Since this is a public school, budget-friendly is ideal. Feel free to reply here or DM me.

Call Peak Golf Academy and explain your situation.  I bet they could help out.

Unlimited lessons, two trackman bays, three practice holes.

Also it's a GREAT range

Have they improved the practice greens? The one in front of the clubhouse is tiny and too much slope. The one kind of near the bar is large, but too flat.

They are in the process of a total renovation of the one in the front. Right now it's not sodded, but it's easily 10x the size of the previous green.

I know you're injured, but if you're near by I'd encourage you to go look

Who all is playing this weekend? Starting to get the itch really bad, can only chip and putt for at least another month-month and a half right now and with the weather turning all I want to go is get out there.

I'll be stoked to play when I get home. Fox Hill doesn't punch in the spring and those greens came out of winter in preem shape.

I've been in Italy since March 31st and head to Cairo tomorrow. I think I'll come back 5-8lbs heavier.

Good news is that doctor feels my injuries aren't as bad. Surgery would be like the 4th option on his list.

I got a cortisone shot (holy crap what a miracle drug) and booked for six weeks of PT to start then re-evaluate.

That's great.  Hope it goes well.

Welp, two weeks without a swing and the good news is I didn't lose it all! It felt a bit shakier than it has felt in a while but overall shot -1 in 29 holes today before it got too dark.

I was worried about missing two PRIME practice weeks right before high gear tournament season starts next weekend. I'm still a bit behind and my chipping still sucks but it's always nice to know I didn't lose it all.

That physical therapy and targeted physical training has done WONDERS for the full swing, holy s***. I don't think I can recommend it enough

So your in slump, well you have come to the right place.

I can tell you how the fix that...........just add 8-10 shots every time you post a score.  I mean not that I would know, just hearing that from others  /cough cough

Does anyone else start the season with chipping yips?  It's wild how bad my contact gets in the spring. Chunks, thins, it's all over the place.

I think it's worse now having the sim all winter also. I've realized I generally use too much lower body in the spring from basically only hitting full swings all winter.

Yea, my short game has been real bad around the greens to start the year. A few duffs and bladed wedges. Mostly the distance control has been horrible.

Started out blasting everything 15' past the pin. Then started picking a landing spot much shorter and have been leaving everything 20' short. It's fun

Two inches of snow and still falling here in Fort Collins. Played in my men's league last night, and it was sleeting on us for the last four holes. Looks like I'll be taking a few days off while the snow melts.

City Park punched the greens on Monday. They're actually pretty playable from a putting perspective, but they get some random bounces on approach.

Collindale is still without a water source. Sounds like Warren Lake has a crack that needs repair. Rumor is that it will be late May or June until it's fixed. The course can't draw water until then. So I suppose the snow and rain is welcomed over there.

I got the Fort Collins annual pass, so I'll mostly be playing the municipal courses this year.

Well, tight, spongy, dormant linksy turf season is over at Mountain Vista. Grass has started to grow, but it’s already been heavily sanded and the long, sparse grass blades lay limply upon the ground, providing more of a nest for the ball to settle down in rather than a tight support above the sandy soil. It’s like hitting balls out of a fairway bunker but the ball is settled down is some grass in the bunker. Yuck. I’m sad. Collindale is usually the same way.

Is there a place in CO that keeps that dry linksy spongy turf in the watering season? Other than Bally? Maybe Highland Meadows does a better job, or Riverdale Dunes? The joy of hitting off tight, spongy linksy turf where the grass supports, rather than interferes with the ball, and the blade bounces off the turf, rather than gets stuck in the sandy soil… man, that’s a big part of the joy of the game for me!

I'm not gonna call them the yips, but, yes, pretty erratic. For me it's the variable lies, and variable turf that take some time to get recalibrated as one rarely gets a lie for chips like you do on artificial mats. Usually works it self out after a bit of practice and re-teaching the hands what to do.

Riverdale Dunes is typically not firm, the firm you are looking for. RD sometimes it is very lush depending on the time of the season.

Not sure on Highland Meadows but have played it firm and lush.

Murphy Creek can play firm.  Typically firmer then most but that is also dependent on City of Aurora on watering/supply.

Been a long time since I’ve been on here since I got a new job in February. This is obviously a good thing though my plans to become a solid golfer fell apart this winter lol. My indoor range membership has gotten very little use, but I finally feel like my head is above water and I’m starting to have more time outside of work. I got out to Legacy Ridge last weekend for my first 18 since January. I had 29 putts for a smooth 84 😂. I couldn’t hit a green to save my life and had 7 1-putts. It felt great to get out though. I've gotten out for a couple more 9's with decent scores and I’m starting to carve out more time to practice, so hopefully I can get my game to come around since my index continues to move in the wrong direction.

They are definitely yips for me. My touch is pretty solid and if I made good contact I'm usually landing pretty close to my spot, mostly as a product of overall practice time.

My issue every spring for the last ~5 years has been crappy contact, generally from an inconsistent low point.

Nothing is really going to be as firm as Bally outside of CGC. The closest one that I can think of, which is close to you is Ft. Collins CC. Those greens are ALWAYS firm 12's, I don't know how they do it.

Speaking of, who wants to get out there? They are a reciprocal and I don't make the trip often enough.

I enjoyed it when I played it a couple years ago and wouldn't mind playing it again. It still floors me that they have all that waterfront and the layout doesn't use it at all.

They are saving the land to build waterfront homes on.

Always enjoy FCCC. Next week is looking pretty open for me. Should check to see when they aerate as the last time I played there was in the spring and they had just aerated and it impacted things quite a bit.

Can't really give more info about courses to play over what has been mentioned already but as you are dialing in your distances you can just switch your rangefinder to meters and play the number as yards. The difference is close to the change with the altitude and you don't need to do the math.
