Callaway Elyte Driver; Triple Diamond Max Model?

Saw the new Elyte Driver and man they look sick.

 

Wondering if there's any words on whether and when they'll make the new Triple Diamond Max model?

 

It's also interesting to see that the new TD model seems to be isolated from the rest of the family (higher price point, glossy v.s. matte crown finish, etc.) Wondering if it's diverging into a new class of driver on its own and potential with Standard / Max / Mini line within that new family?

Hoping we see it come to retail in 3-6 months like the AI Smoke line. I've been loving the TD Max, so will probably hold out until we know if the max will come to retail.

Echo that - really dunno why they decide to leave the TD out of the matte family. I know this is more personal preference but man matte crown looks so much better especially under direct sunlight

This is me. 
 

I owned all of the AI Smoke drivers except for the D. 
 

TD Max is the best for me by a fair margin. 
 

I won’t get out my checkbook for anything but the TD Max Elyte but it will hard to beat my current setup…

I stopped by my local Scheels store today (high end sporting goods for those of you who don't have one).  A younger kid was trying to sell me clubs as I was just browsing.  I could tell he knew a little bit, but not a whole lot.  He mentioned he was going to Callaway in Carlsbad next week for some sales training.  He then mentioned they were excited to see the Elyte Triple Diamond Max.  Very interesting if they are mentioning it to some of their retailers now.  Maybe release is closer than we think.

With a 150% trade in bonus it's basically free so you just have to kind of always have a few extra clubs laying around which is exactly why everyone should always be tinkering with a new club or two (...or ten).

I know they did the trade bonus last year (took advantage to get my own TD Max), has Callaway been known to do the promo yearly? 

 

Pretty much only moving from the TD Max to a newer model. And that's debatable.

The ELYTE TD MAX will be a normal retail launch but no date set yet as of now that I know.  They also will have very limited release TD head later in the summer.

Like many on here, I absolutely love my Smoke TD Max, so when the Elyte family debuted, I inquired about an Elyte TD Max version, and was told by one of the Callaway reps that it would be out in March.  We’ll see if that was accurate, but the bottom line is that they anticipated a little earlier release this year (I jumped all over the Smoke TD when it came out, but so glad I traded it for the TD Max).

 

 I’m hoping that they go with the matte - the gloss is nice, but I like a little “quieter” look.  I’m still not sure if the gloss will be a deal breaker for me if that’s the way it goes because performance does mean more than looks to me - but if I’m aware of the looks, I may not perform!

Like more lofts in Ti fairway wood, or Elyte UWs, to go long with the TD Max release 

 

Or are we just getting the mini soon, they an individual release of the new driver heads every couple months

I sort of thought that would be the case.  I finally saw the gloss close up, and it’s not that bad - I’m not a fan of the writing on top, I think if you’re going gloss, keep it totally clean - but in reality, it may look better than the matte once you get used to it.  With the Smoke TD Max, at first I didn’t like the fact that it didn’t have an aiming mark on it, but I learned pretty quickly where the sweet spot is (still don’t hit it that often!), and that became a non issue…especially when you can see as much of the face because of the slightly open look.  I gave up TaylorMade for the Smoke TD Max, and I’m excited about an Elyte version…but there’s also something very interesting about the new Ping LST…lol!

-Long drive, looks like it launched today; limited

-Mini; full scale release

-Triple Diamond TD; limited

-Triple Diamond Max; full scale release 

 

They seem to have something for everyone

Anyone know what exactly the Triple Diamond TD is?  And also how will the Elyte TD Max compare to the Elyte TD?

 

Tour only stuff is lame but I can see how it makes sense when Callaway starts naming everything in the most confusing way possible.
