I’ve read the 💎💎💎 TD is more draw bias than the std 💎💎💎, not sure how the max 💎💎💎 will compare in spin/forgiveness to the non max, but assume similar to last years

I meant the difference in launch between the 💎💎💎 Max and the standard 💎💎💎.

Max launches higher but you can also increase the spin and launch angle by going up in loft. My 10.5 💎💎💎 launches plenty high for me. It plays higher and longer than my GT4 that was fitted and that’s why I sold it for my 💎💎💎. I played the 💎💎💎Max last summer and ditched it for no reason other than I’m insane. The standard TD is supposed to launch and spin less than the TD Max. What I remember people saying is that the TD Max was a Max head in terms of forgiveness but with spin in between the Max and TD model, hence the TD Max designation. 
 

The TD version I have spins enough and gets up in the air quick but with ball speed to give me the longest drives I’ve hit in a very long time. I should have gone TD 10.5 the first go around. I knew the TD Max had the potential but the TD for me is a much better set up.

If reviews come out showing people with faster swing speed with the elyte version over the smoke version then I'll get excited. Smoke td max is just phenomenal...but, like paradym and smoke stuff, just slow on swing speed compared to other OEMs. 

 

Elyte standard is like 3 mph faster on swingspeed than smoke.td max...same shaft, same swingweight.

anyone have any insight on what shafts these April releases will have?  I'm curious if the Aretera shaft is going to be offered for $100 as they have with the "plain 'ol" TD.    Be even better if they offered the grey instead of the blue but not going to hold my breath for that one.

The triple diamond TD is “Tour Draw”

 

Personally wish that one was one I was able to get my hands on to try

Own a regular AI Smoke and a3D max.

Lined the max after a while and the standard model gets no use. 

If the letter comes out with a3D Max at real that is an improvement, I will have to get one. 

My only concern is not loving the look this year. I generally like matte black crowns but the stock model from this year's Matte finish is not appealing to me.

So hopefully the 3D Max would come in the glossy finish. I also find that the green strip underneath sort of cheapens the whole look a little bit. 

 

But if somehow it has the same performance but manages to muster 3 mph more of ball speed I will have to look for the Callaway 100% trade in and get to work.

This is my take 100% too. Love the td max. But it's slower than TM, cobra, titleist. Standard elyte is 3 mph faster on ballspeed on stock shots because it's faster on clubhead speed.  If callaway has achieved those same improvements in td max and kept the directional and launch characteristics of smoke.td max....mama!

Yep, all of their TD heads are gloss this year.  Will be interesting to see if any “Tour issue” heads will come in matte.
